Like WHO doesn’t go to CPK on Guam? Before the Haganta location opened, going to CPK in Tumon was a rare occurrence for me. TBH, I just never wanted to deal with the parking there. However, since they opened in Hagatna, I think I’ve been to that location at least five times.
So, the first time I went to CPK was actually when I lived in California. Back then, it was yummy, but it wasn’t some place where I was compelled to go. Same thing when I lived in Las Vegas. When I moved to Guam, I remember going there and I loved the food. I will tell you this, a lot of franchise/corporate restaurants get a lot of heat about the quality of food (inconsistent, tastes like being microwaved, not coming out hot, etc), but I think the Guam CPK’s does it right. I have never been disappointed in the dine in service.
When Payless Supermarkets began carrying some of their salads in their stores towards the end of the pandemic, I was a happy camper. It was great being able to get their salads and not have to drive all the way to Hagatna for my Thai Crunch Salad.
Giving Guam’s CPK a 4.5. Another reviewer said something about salads not keeping or not getting enough dressing when doing take out and I’ve also experienced not receiving enough dressing. I always feel I need just a bit more when I’ve done take out.
Anyways; these are my go to’s for CPK: Thai Crunch Salad (add shrimp and avocado) Kung Pao spaghetti with chicken and shrimp Chicken Lettuce Wraps
Last thing: every single time I’ve gone, I’ve never had bad service. I saw that some other reviewers commented on the service, but personally, I never had a bad server. I have been to CPK when the restaurant has been packed and our food took a bit longer to come out as well as drinks being refilled took longer, but I’m guessing it was due to how busy they were.
Great place for casual dining!...
Read moreNot sure what's going on with this location but I've had 3 bad experiences already with their takeout system: 1. I park in your mobile pickup stall after calling only to wait 15 min to get my food and wait another 15 min to run my credit card; 2. Your 4888 main number is not in service, remove it or fix it; 3. I called the alternate number several times for mobile pickup only to not have it answered; 4. My order was wrong even though I gave specific instructions due to food allergies, by the time I arrived at the office, it was too late to go back to get it corrected; 5. Even though staff indicated my order would be ready in 20 min, I still waited an extra 15 min. The whole point of your mobile pickup is convenience, what good is it if your customer has to park and go inside because no one is answering the phones? You should have a separate line only for mobile pickup and have dedicated staff to tend to mobile pickup service. Realize that lunch hour is only ONE hour, your customers cannot afford to waste time because of your inefficiencies. CPK need to close down the Hagatna location and fix your process or shut down your mobile pickup service until your staff is complete to handle the services that you offer. Never...
Read moreMy mother and I ate a late lunch at the California Pizza Kitchen in Hagatna today. Upon entering I immediately was taken aback by how stunning the interior design was. From the chandeliers, to the lighting, to the location of tables and space- the vibe was great. We were helped by the hostess who was very polite. She showed us to our table and our server was Alex. We ordered the Spicy Cauliflower for appetizers which is a MUST TRY. Oh my god it was amazing. For entree I ordered the Thai Crunch Salad. Absolutely delicious, taste buds just jumping everywhere in my mouth. I just ordered the half size and that was filling itself, I can't imagine how big the full size is. Highly recommend this salad. My mother ordered the Greek Salad which she enjoyed. Alex served us politely and respectfully. He also brought fresh cracked pepper to our table even before we asked for it. You have to have fresh cracked pepper with a salad. Good job Alex. If I had to point out one thing for improvement I would say that appetizers are always supposed to come out before the entrees. The Spicy Cauliflower came out the same time as our entrees. Other than that everything else was exceptional. I look forward to dining...
