There are two entrances to the caves, both with gates on them. The gate on the right is locked but the gate on the left is open and you can enter there. However, the caves are now occupied by homeless people and their possessions. I entered a few feet and heard people moving around in there so turned around. It is probably best to just avoid the place as there is nothing to see from the outside and it does not seem safe...
