Al-Haramain International Food — Attraction in Hamtramck

Just moved to the area and went to this store today with my friend. When I went to pay for my stuff with cash, the employee said, "Oh, I thought you were paying with WIC." I never even mentioned paying with WIC, and I don't even have it. I'm not even a mother, and neither is my friend who was with me.

It's incredibly rude to assume someone is using WIC/EBT. I pay with cash. I have my own money that I work for and earn. I'm not sure if it was an insult to our weight or if the guy thinks that every female is on government assistance. Meanwhile, he could barely understand English and probably makes minimum wage.

I love shopping here, and I will continue to come here. But for 3-4 weeks now they have had a sign for a box of quartered legs for $19.99. I have come here on 3 separate occasions for that deal, and they were always “out” or it was “coming next week.” Just a reminder to the management here they should do their due diligence and keep up with their advertisements and stock. Also another thing that grinds my gears is that this grocery store caters to many Muslims. I hate that they don’t carry Halal Chicken stock, Beef stock, Chicken Broth, and beef broth. I know they deserve 5 star from me. i shop here all the time but everytime i buy ground meat like, chicken or beef always buy fresh looking one or recently dated one. Soon as i get home i like to cook it fresh, tittle that i know surprise i find evey time. They mixed OLD MEAT to NEW MEAT under the fresh meat and this is not one time thing happed quite often. Im really disappointed with that service. Please get it straight and do HONEST business to peoples who shop at this store in this community. I love this store.
