I just left the store the store has every homeowners little knick-knacks or small DIY projects that you can think of.they have anything from doors to cabinets to Windows heaters house appliances glassware Cannes chairs sofas lampshades electrical outlets power tools they have it all any homeowner can go here or even an apartment person like myself I have an apartment and every time I have a project I stop there first because it's budget-friendly and because it's it's very functional what they have you can make great great home improvement projects from things here and they are very fairly priced for what you would pay at the normal home improvement home Depot Lowe's type of stores most of it is through donations which makes it even better because you know a community helps the community but I cannot wait to show off my project that I started from things bought in this store the staff is so friendly and so helpful the lady told me to bring him pictures of the finished project after the sofa I just bought at a very merry mystery price it was returned twice and I I became excited because it was I knew it was meant for me I was in a tight spot financially and I need it sofas and that happened and I'm excited and I'm going to make the best of it so soon I will post the pictures to show you guys what I mean but other than that the store is quite is quite big for a thrift store with furnishings I mean it has tolls it has center tables and has dryers has panels it has wood doors it has even some metal doors and sinks a lot of lamps that you can choose from some open paints that might work, or might not you do have to check those because you know they settle but other than that this is a great spot for home improvement for starters and anyone looking to do...
Read moreI’ve tried to donate to them no less then three times. They told me they didn’t need any items, and this last time they told me I needed an appointment. We could have unloaded what I had in the time he was telling me I needed an appointment. He told me it takes too much time, to inventory between appointments. Everything I had was brand new surplus. I now understand why companies just dumpster stuff, instead of donating. Which is a shame. Inside this store is a mess, with over priced junk. There was one manager when the store moved to this building that was great. He was appreciative of your donations and would go out of his way to assist you. Read moreI wanted to make a donation of hardware and construction supplies in new condition. I completed the form on the Harrisburg Habitat ReStore website and scheduled a dropoff appointment online. During this process I had to enter an itemized list of all of the items that I was going to donate, including photographs of all items.
After completing this process, I received confirmation that they would accept this donation, and confirmation of my scheduled appointment.
I arrived at my scheduled time to drop off these items. The employee at the dock did not know anything about the scheduled appointment. He did not have any clue what I was talking about apparently. He also said that they wouldn't accept any of my items for donation.
