Gus seems like a fine jeweler who knows his stuff, but my experience here was not good. For a watchband replacement, they add expenses you didn't ask for, like insurance. His greedy, pushy assistant does NOT listen and lies about calling you. She wouldn't give me my watch back so I had to get rude. Three visits of wasted time. I'm sure Gus does very good work, but not good people to work with. And in response to your response below, Gus, in all that mayhem, I do not remember you offering me the $50 refund. In fact I let you keep the additional $25 on top of the $25 estimate for the trouble you went through researching the replacement bracelet. On my last visit you got mad and went in the back while your pushy assistant wouldn't let me keep the serial number info to take my watch elsewhere so I took a picture and had to DEMAND my watch back. Why do you charge $50 for watch batteries while others charge way less? And yes. yall live up to your reputation.
PS..I just left a nearby jeweler...I found the same model watch on ebay for parts, paid $25 for it, took it to this very REPUTABLE jeweler, and they added to my band...FOR $10. $10, Gus, not $25 and a bunch of added expenses not asked for. And their watch batteries are $18 vs your $50. Really?? If you want to make things right, be an honest man...
Read morePrice check the items you buy from this store. I came in for a watch repair to a Citizen Eco Drive band. They were able to fix quickly and seemed very legit. I felt like I was standing in a store that was trustworthy and they had a great vibe. I was so comfortable I started looking into other watches. I saw a gold Seiko 5 and wanted it. I gladly paid what they asked and left. Going down the road home something just seemed off. I started researching the watch and learned it was a SNXL72 Seiko 5. This store offered me a 5% discount and with that applied charged me $395 dollars. Its a $150 dollar watch brand new everywhere else. I noticed on the receipt all sales are final. I called and explained I was upset and felt robbed. No remorse, guilt or willingness to make things better or take the watch back. BUYERS BEWARE, THEY ARE...
Read moreI would go anyplace else before going here. Note that they charge a service fee for credit cards but do not tell you before hand, they bury it in the receipt under Tax1. I took a Bell & Ross watch to them which they assured me we can replace the battery. The next day I get a call from them telling me I have a very expensive watch, and they can not replace the battery for $55. What that told me was we are only good at replacing batteries in cheap watches because we aren't a real jewelry store that knows how to work on real watches. Then when you question them they act like they don't know what you are saying, all of a sudden their english isn't so good. Stay away from this place with any jewelry that...
