6 months ago I would have given this a 5 star because for years I have enjoyed going here after taking my kids to King Kam beach. I could order something for my kids as well as a drink for me and a burger or a salad or something before leaving and not feel ripped off. It wasn't inexpensive, but it was reasonable. They validated parking (still do) which was great too. Sadly, they have done a full menu change and not only have the prices gone up significantly, the options aren't as good as they used to be. Several of the old favorites are gone. I don't want to sit on a plastic chair after being at the beach and pay $16-20 for a mediocre sandwich and $14 for a cocktail or $8 or $9 for a beer. It's too high. Seems like there are less draft beers available now too although I might me mistaken. The staff is still super friendly and happy hour is ok for food although the drinks are still high but with the overall pricing increase, I'm just going to walk to Kona Inn, Splashers, Quinn's, Canoe Club, etc. and get a much better deal. With so many choices in a 5 minute walking radius I would think they would make the pricing/value/quality more...
Read moreThe worst customer service! Bartenders are extremely slow and rude. Unless u come up to them and yell that u want to place an order they won't ever look at you even tho you have been waiting for 20 minutes. And when they do finally come up to you they wouldn't even smile, look at you like you are their enemy. Stayed at this hotel 5 times and this will be my last just because of the pool bar employees being the rudest people ever. I have a gold discount with marriott and when I asked them to apply it to my bill bartender told me "you should have asked that before ordering" I said "so will you not apply it?" She took a bill from me and walked away saying "u need to sign again" when she returned with my new bill she threw it on the bar in front of me and asked "did u understand what I said?" Never have I had someone talk to me like that!!! They had 3 bartenders last night standing chit-chating while they had a line of people waiting for them. Food is good and pricy for it. But if u want to have an enjoyable time...
Read moreOur first visit to this restaurant was on Friday at 4 pm and it was excellent. Ian was our host, he took our order and had our drinks out within minutes. The drinks were tasty and strong! And the food was decent. However, our second visit was on Saturday at 4 pm, we sat at the table and waited for 20 mins and no one approached to take our orders. One of the tables next to us, was apparently contemplating leaving because no one had come by to get their check. Ian came by and greeted us, remembering us from the day before. He told us that our waitress, Tichell(?) will be with us shortly. We waited another 15 mins, still no one one. Went to the bar and saw that the bartender was busy making drinks. There was one woman on the phone. Two waiters taking orders to the poolside. Again, we waited about 10 mins but by now, even our 8 month old was getting annoyed. So, after close to 45 minutes of waiting for a host/hostess, we left. If there is a next time, hopefully we can get a table that Ian...
