West Maui Sports & Fishing Supply — Attraction in Hawaii

Update: not sure if it was promted by/offered by the booking company UFO or West Maui Sports, but they did call and ask to reimburse us for the uber fees too and from the wharf, and acknowledge d they had a significant lack of internal communications Wasted an entire day because of this bunch, had a shared fishing trip scheduled to leave the Mala wharf at 10:30 called to confirm where and when at 9:30ish showed up at 9:50 ish called back to confirm we were at the right spot, called back at 10:30 to confirm what vessel to be on the lookout for, the Cooper I think it was, and called back at 11:00 to ask where they were....they put me on hold for a while, finnaly ask if I wanted to wait another 15 mins and the could get a captain to come down to the dock and speak with me ...but it looked like they might just cancel due to wind....the wind and weather was the same as it was at 9, they had my phone number.. plenty of simular crafts were under way....my spin on it, it was a Teusday, and the waited and hoped till long after the scheduled departure time to figure out they only had 2 out of a possible 6 participants, just a money thing with an excuse....had they just been professional and made a call perhaps it wouldn't have been so bad, I had to chase em down, and they didn't even offer the $40 lost in uber fare too and from the wharf, not to mention the lost lost 5 hours of vauable time...

So much love and support and appreciation for the community and families from this amazing business. West Maui Sports & Fishing is such an important part in our lives for locals and the kids who live on island and for those who don’t as well but reaches out to so many that the love and affection for fishing and diving and learning new things about ocean life is so huge and expands one person at a time! We love this store and can’t wait to see it Rise again!! Anytime you feel like fishing stop by and pick up some gear from them!!! Show your support! This place is amazing for rentals! We went yesterday and rented fishing poles, bought all of our fishing gear and bait from them. They answered so many of our questions that we had about rules etc for fishing here in Maui. The customer service was outstanding and the prices were amazing! We had so much fun fishing yesterday with our kids. We returned our fishing gear today and rented snorkel equipment from them. If we come back to Maui ever I would for sure come back to rent from here again! I highly recommend checking these guys out for any of your rental needs...
