24 Hour Fitness — Attraction in Hayward

I want to report an employee from the Whipple Rd location in Hayward. His name is Jared.

The day of June 7th I went to they gym and he was the one in the front desk.

When I scanned the QR code he called me back in a really bad way saying "hey hey hey" and moving two fingers to call me and miss treating me since the beginning also in front of another customer that was there.

He said "is that you? No, right? (Showing me the picture of my husband) You cannot be using your husband's account, is your husband, right?" I said yes and he said that I couldn't go in.

Then he completely ignored me and then I asked if at least I could go in that day because my husband was at work and he couldn't go there to let me in.

He said no and then kept ignoring me.

My reaction was telling him a bad word and then showing him the middle finger.

And not because of the fact of not letting me in, was because of how he was miss treating me since the beginning with no reason and in front of others and his whole arrogance and bad attitude.

And then he decided that he had the right to freeze my husband's account for one year without authorization and saying on the email that was sent, that the account was frozen by my husband's request which is not true.

We have been customers from the 24Hour Gym for more than two years now and we never have had any problem with anyone and now he has been really rude with us many times.

And I'd like him to get a write off about his service because he has been repeatedly rude and despicable with my husband with no reason, making him walk back just because he wanted to and even seeing that my husband doesn't walk normal because he has a lot of pain and basically any movement is painful for him. And definitely he had no right to do what he did with the account.

We feel that is not coincidence and feels now really personal and as a persecution by him against us. All of the other employees are really kind with us but he definitely has an issue and shouldn't be working there.

He was rude since the beginning and always has been so don't expect respect from people if he is gonna mop the floor with them and treat people as they're worthless and he's a "god".

He has zero customer service and...

Bad ..... Lot of people wearing shoes in sauna and steam room while they are shaving or changing cloths they leave shoes on the counter that's so disgusting also people had been misusing towels I seen towels all over in the bathrooms management supposed to put the Sign don't put shoes on counter and step on the hallway sofas and exercise bench's still stupid people pouring water on thermostat they really need to stop this shyt. Again same shyt 10 25 2022 I saw people left lot of trash in shower room's shame on dirty people's mangment can do nothing Good ....finally they eliminated towel because of bad people I used to see the guy name Shawn he was always taking care of good people many time I saw him telling people don't wear shoes in the steam room. He moved to Dublin 24 hrs. I wish he come back .some time I tell people to leave shoes out side they always get mad after many days I saw today the guy name Eric told people don't wear shoes in the steam room I heard few people got mad at Eric I am glad to see him doing good job my advice to management suppose to be more strict on crazy people need to put Sign everywhere also need to check background lot of criminal mind people go to gym more than 80% innocent people scared to go gym UPDATE....... 9 28 2022 11.02 am I saw tall black girl boy hair cut wearing tennis shoes in sauna and steam room staff member told her leave shoe out side then she took off shoes .then she was holding shoes and walked in sauna room again looks like she had dog poop on her shoes it was smelling so bad .I complaint black manager Alyssa she said front of two female employees around 11.13 am yes she can hold her shoes in sauna room i said that's not fair then what's the Sign mean she refused to answer me. I feel she was favoring to the black tall girl .they are both black. but rules are rules no matter what nationally I saw first time worse manager in 22years at 24...

Moreover, it’s been noted that multiple benches have been marked as out of order for an extended period, specifically over the last six months. This long-term unavailability of essential equipment hampers workout routines and may discourage members from maintaining a regular exercise schedule.

Suggestion to Management

To the management team at HR Fitness, I urge you to take immediate action towards resolving these maintenance issues. It is essential to either repair the existing equipment or consider acquiring new machinery to replace the ones beyond repair. Engaging with corporate to request the necessary resources or budget allocations could be a viable step towards improving the facility’s condition.

Maintaining a gym goes beyond just ensuring the equipment works; it’s about creating a welcoming and functional environment that motivates members to return. Regular audits of equipment functionality, followed by swift action to address any issues, are crucial components of effective gym management.
