Our party was a group of 4 around our 40s with a small kid.2 of us already come atleast 3 times before bringing 2 other friends to introduce to the place. We all got a drink and one of us had another country ID she asked if maybe they had a passport,we decided to tell her to cancel de drink but she kept saying that she had to take a california ID so when we cancel she said "its ok this time but im letting you know incase my manager comes over to ask for it" (not sure why she would ask for ID when the server is taking the order ?) but we let her finish her comment and then the rest of us where ready with IDs she did not check one person because i guess one was to old??? 😧And the other 2 people that actually look younger then the person with a different ID she did not even care about checking as much..?😅🤦♀️ so she made it really awkward . I understand the rules u have to follow but when the group looks around 40s you can look at ID, the Year and just let the night be awesome ! at the end of the day she was allowing it. She said this time is ok but bring passport next time and then don't check the rest of the party makes it sound a bit personal and the fact that the person with a different ID was LGTBQ Well.. the rest of the dinner she had attitude and forgot one person veggies side when we said it 2 times..she had bad attitude until we pay and gave her good tips because the check was a good amount ,She was nice for the next 5 min then kinda started pushing us to leave.. when we were talking and finishing drinks. the food was really good stake is nice, good flavor and soft just had a few areas of my plate that was a bit to salty but it's OK because the food was 🔥 but I'm going to be honest I'm checking reviews I feel like this server might just be rude..? ... Kimberly might be her name not 100% sure but the fact that it was on a Wed at 3pm and seems like most reviews are around the same.. i dont know
recommendations: apply the same rules to everyone in the party ,don't be rude and have attitude and push out people it's a stake house people want to take their time to eat and for food To go down before having to deal with traffic most have to drive an hour . Be the same with everyone's race, age, color, preference! I will give it one more chance but if oi get the same server I will ask for a different one or take it home with a nice cold beer from the liquor...
Read more2025 update. Texas Roadhouse is our favorite steakhouse in Union City. My friend lives one exit over and we both love eating here. I try not to eat too much nowadays. But the steaks are so great. We split the 16oz prime rib, country fried sirloin and a steak and shrimp combo. Everything tasted great. The chef did a great job not only with the steaks but the sides as well. We need to come back soon. Great job everyone at Texas Roadhouse. Only a 10 minute wait on a Wednesday night at 6:30pm.
Updated 3/20/2023: Heads up, they smash car windows at the Texas Roadhouse parking lot. This was at 6pm on Monday 3/20/2023 in broad daylight. Ownership need to put security cameras in front of the restaurant. Pretty scary, I saw a guy dressed in black looking into cars/suvs/vans and smashing their windows. The police arrived within 10 minutes.
The prime rib, 20oz (20 oz was not on the menu, they only list up to 16oz) $40 wasn't as good this time. Maybe I was I still shaken up from witnessing the car break-ins. The cactus blossom $9 was excellent. As for the country fried sirloin $17, this was my first good country fried steak since Chili's had it on their menu, yearsssss ago. I was charged +$2.29 for onions and mushrooms on my steak. They didn't put it on. My waitress later removed the $2.29 charge after I said something. The side of ribs $10 were pretty good. The meat was falling off of the bone good. Not dry. Service was fine.
Original review: There was a 2 hour wait at 6pm on a Saturday. We started with the cactus blossom $8.45. This was awesome. I haven't had a deep fried onion for ages. As for our entrees, we got the bone-in 20oz ribeye $34 w/onions + $2.29 = $36.29 and a sirloin & shrimp $25 w/mushrooms and onions + $2.29 = $27.29. For the sides, we both had a Caesar salad, vegetables and a loaded baked potato. As for drinks, we had a long island ice tea and a big Blue Moon beer. Everything was great. Food came out in a reasonable amount of time. My steak was cooked right with a good amount of sear on the fat parts. Perfect grill lines. Their steak chef is a genius. Service was excellent. Good job everyone at...
Read moreThe service was great as always. My main concern today was the food. We ordered a classic cheeseburger for my neice. We asked for only lettuce, mayo & cheese. No onion, no pickle, no tomato. She's allergic to tomatoes. The burger arrived with everything on it, every single topping. We told our server, he looked at the ticket & said "oh yeah, that's right" & took it back. I said "sorry" & he just took it back. He brought it back immediately, in less than 1 minute. (We were seated right by the kitchen) my neice opened her burger & there was still 1 slice of tomato hidden underneath the lettuce. It was more than obvious that the cook just opened the burger & picked off the toppings. When our server came back to check on us, he saw the tomato. I politely asked him "can we actually have this remade?" Maybe I should've told him that my neice was allergic so that it can actually be remade & not picked apart? He took the burger back & came back 3 minutes later. The burger looked exactly the same just without the toppings. I'm under the impression that all the meat here is made fresh to order? So I'm confused how they cooked a well done burger patty in less than 3 minutes? Unless you already have the patties pre-cooked. I asked him if the burger was re-made or just taken the toppings off. He said "I don't know, they just took it to the back"
My neice took 3 bites from her burger & immediately got a stomach ache. Neither of us felt comfortable eating the food here so we asked for boxes to go & the check. I asked for boxes because I was raised to never throw away food. There's always homeless people on the road who appreciate a warm meal. I still tipped $15.00 because our server told us he let the manager know & they took it off the bill. We didn't want free food, we just wanted the burger made fresh. We drive in traffic all the way from San jose just to eat here. We spend 1 hour in the car because we love the food & service so much but honestly, not only was this a huge disappointment, it was a health concern. A cook that makes a mistake on a order & just picks off the toppings is a lazy,...
