These people were rude rude we set up in front of the store for the parade, not directly in front of the doors we were in front of the window, because it would have been rude to block a buisness from recieving buisness, and we weren't even on the red sidewalk, as the redhead so rudely came out to tell us to "get off the property because I reprimanded my daughter for being rude back when she yelled at and told my husband he couldnt set up his chair in front of her door, he was pulling his chair out of the bag hadnt even set it up and was coming to the opposite side of me because i had already made sure that we weren’t blocking their door or being on the red sidewalk, directly in front of the store that the redhead girl so rudely asked us to move from which we did move forward the 3 inches so we weren't on the red, and then the old lady came out and was like why are you being rude to my girl, to which we tried to explain and now they're reporting reviews stating we were cussing and being mean and they thought they may need to call the police, ruined my kids 4th for no reason other than, because why? they could that's the only reason, my husband got upset and yes he did stalk off to the next building I even apologized for the rude behavior from them I left a 1 star review because there was no need to be as rude as they were, and they did in fact state that they were open, and just closing for the parade (as told to us by the redhead that it was an "open business today and wanted the space for their family being closed for the parade". So yes they received a bad review. Most people would have been kind they were very very much not kind. Hope everyone had a happy 4th though!!
Edited to add that their Facebook page stated they would be celebrating with their community (and that they were in fact closed for the 4th so we werent actually blocking their buisness they were just being stingy and basically they ...? Own the sidewalk? Not sure how thats possible...) and we're not part of that community? Not allowed to celebrate with our community either? Cool guess equal rights don't exist in their eyes. And they can go ahead and come back with the rude reply that I have seen them so many times before do to other people on here who have in fact shopped their store, wont hurt my feelings. Freedom of speech however is a thing, and I'm allowed to leave this review because we were definitely given the statement that it was a buisness thing so therefore, I'm reviewing it with my honest opinion after the way we were treated by the...
Read morewas racially profiled today. Came in with my group of friends whom which 2 of them are white and my other friend who was white passing; Also, i had a small purse with me but so did my other two friends so it wasn’t bc i had a purse with me. Anyways, i already felt eyes on me the moment i stepped in. the worker was an old white lady. my friends went to roam around in the back of the store while i stayed in the front looking at the stuff, i kept looking back where she was and she was staring at me like a hawk while she had no problems with friends roaming around in the back of the store. one of the other friends came back towards me bc they noticed the lady was just staring at me, so she was staring at her back bc she knew what the lady was doing. I picked up a bag and a necklace; my friend and i where like near where she was and i was debating on which one i was gonna buy, and while i was asking my friend which one i should get, the lady was like “i can hold these up here for you while you decide” and i wouldn’t have thought anything of it if it weren’t for the fact that she had been staring me down as if i was gonna steal. My friend told me to not buy anything bc it was obvious that the lady was racist but i bought the bag and necklace anyway to support the vendor. Also where i would go she would turn towards there and peek her head to make sure i wasn’t stealing. Cute stuff but that lady needs to stop racially profiling ppl. Also Antique Mall Snider's Hill is much better and has more of a selection and the staff there is...
Read moreDo not take precious metals here to sell, jewelry, silverware, coins etc! I had a solid 14k gold vintage ring for sale a local jeweler said I should offer it to the antique store first as he will just melt it down, I brought it to them and they offered me $60, there was over $175 worth of gold alone plus a small diamond and a few other stones. I declined and took it to the jeweler and was paid about double that and that was just for the gold melt value. It is one thing to not give gold value or stone value but to undercut a price that much when the literal gold value is over $175 is just bad form. Not one to leave reviews but thought people should be warned. ...to pay way less than scrap value is bad form, I knew approximately what the gold was worth because the ring weighed 3 grams and gold was at about $60 per gram. They knew the melt scrap value. People should not sell precious metals to this shop. There are jewelers and metal dealers/coin shops who will pay a fair price and even a pawn shop would have paid more. I don't leave reviews hardly ever but having been a past customer to be offered such a low price and selling it for about twice what was offered a few minutes later is something customers should be...
