I am not sure if this will make it to who it needs to but I felt it very much necessary to leave this review to inform you all of the LACK OF CUSTOMER SERVICE received at the AMC in Hiram, Ga. This is what happened:
I arrive with my 7 yo niece to see inside out 2 on 6/15. There’s only one line for tickets. I hadn’t been in a while so I asked Austin- who was scanning online tickets if I could purchase tickets at the concession stand, he said “no”. I thought differently but again I hadn’t been there in a long time so I went with it and stayed in line, I also thought to start the online ticket purchase, because it seemed that would be easier and quicker. After a long while of standing in the one line, it seemed like the crowd got bigger so of course the line got longer. Austin then comes over to the line and asks me if I was with the group of people that was behind me, I answered no. HE THEN PROCEEDS TO TELL THE LINE FROM BEHIND ME ON BACK TO GO TO THE CONCESSION STAND AND PURCHASE TICKETS!!!!!! 😡
Not the several people in the front of the line, THE PEOPLE WHO JUST ARRIVED!!! 😳
Not the numerous people who had been waiting for upwards of 20 mins, THE PEOPLE WHO JUST ARRIVED!! 🤯
I didn’t say anything I just gathered my niece and chose to go to another establishment and on the way out I asked for his name and that is how I know who he was. That was a very rude, almost racist encounter it seemed. Because at the very minimum, why’d you lie? Also if I, a customer, specifically asked about a particular service and you were going to change your mind, why wouldn’t you have included me in the group that was allowed to go?
But also, the people who have been waiting now have to wait behind about 15 people to get snacks etc, after waiting for such a long time to even get in!!?!? Make it make sense, please!?
I did not go to a manager at that time because I didn’t want to delay my niece seeing her movie, nor did I want to anger my spirit any more than I already was. I could only imagine if a person without self control would have had this encounter and the end result! You guys dodged a bullet today, but Austin is not helping your brand in no shape...
Read moreMy fiancé and I decided that we would go to this theater last night while we were already traveling through Hiram to catch Toy Story 4. When we walked in, the line to have our tickets checked went super quick which was awesome because we were already 5 minutes late for the movie. As we got past the check-in point, while walking though the lobby we noticed how filthy it was. From popcorn being all over the floor to garbage every flippin where. We walked into theater #7 and yet again, it was horrible. You could tell it hadn’t been cleaned after for god knows how many movies. So we sat down to get ready to watch the movie. Now don’t get me wrong, this is a children’s movie and we really did expect a lot of kids to be there. (We would have had our daughter with us but her grandmother beat us to the punchline for taking her to go see this before we could which was okay with us. It meant date night for us!!) There was a group of maybe 7-8 people walk in, that’s 2 adults and however many children in tow. Throughout the whole movie, these children were screaming, crying, running through the theater and such. But like I said, we expected children to be there!! We don’t have any issues with children at all. But the parents were not getting onto their children for causing such ruckus during the movie. (I personally did not go and complain to a manager at all because if it had been my daughter doing that, I don’t want to be kicked out of a movie.) so in the midst of the duration of the movie, I had to use the bathroom. My god..... the bathroom was HORRIBLE!! Toilet paper everywhere, paper towels everywhere, literal feces on the toilets, I mean HIDEOUS!!! I was on the verge of yet again this week, using the men’s bathroom!!! I will never ever EVER go back to this theater. I figured I’d disregard the lobby but the bathroom?!? That’s terrible. Small children have to use those bathrooms and they should be clean at all times. The only clean part of the bathroom was the baby changing station. And that’s sad to say!!! I will continue to take my business to the AMC at Cumberland from now on because at least they keep their areas clean no matter how...
Read moreIf I could give negative stars for our experience here on valentine's day evening I would, it would 100% be -1000. The manager on duty this evening was very rude and disrespectful and called the cops because SHE STOPPED OUR MOVIE. The movie was about 20-30 mins in and people were still coming in and being seated. Apparently there were some people that hadn't bought tickets but they were sitting in the open seats in the theater. Causing some issues but nothing that couldn't be handled quietly. Instead of the manager going directly to the people with no ticket and asking them to leave, the manager felt stopping our movie and turning on the lights was the best way to handle this situation. Not only did she stop the movie but she spoke to a theater full of grown working adults like little kids, stating she would not be turning our movie back on until she checked every ticket in the theater. This started complete madness, everyone started getting up to leave and asking for a refund, she acted as if she was not going to give us a refund and yelled out that she was calling the cops. She then begins arguing with the customers and went out to the lobby and waited on the cops to show up and refusing to issue refunds. The young lady however working the concessions stand was very polite and understanding as to why everyone was upset, and she began issuing refunds. In all of my life I have never seen such treatment, considering the location and the movie we were seeing, which was "One Love" myself as well as most of the other guests felt this was a targeted and intentional attack on an entire theater full of African American people. I was completely disgusted, I've been to this theater many times in the past and I've never seen such blatant hatred and racism in my life. AMC should be removing this lady from any job title or position with their establishment. Valentine's Day completely ruined. 2.14.24.
I had to give one star to make this post otherwise, they wouldn't have gotten any...
