I went to this store recently for a highly anticipated book release thinking that the popularity around this book would not touch our little city—I was wrong. I arrived five minutes before the store opened to a line already formed outside. I admit I was worried about what a crapshoot this was about to be, expecting full chaos with everyone pushing, shoving, & running through the store to get their hands on this book—I was wrong again. The management at this store had a solid plan in place that kept everyone orderly & it was extremely efficient. They had the books behind the customer service desk where they walked this line to in an orderly fashion to checkout. They had another associate going around with a tablet to assist those in the line with a preorder to get them out of there sooner. Even in this long line, I was able to get a copy, and I was in and out of the store within 10-15 minutes. The associates & management were kind, friendly, & dare I say shared the excitement with the crowd. Later on in the day I saw the social media videos from other readers around the country who did not share this same experience at their local stores, instead being subject to the chaos I feared myself. It really put into perspective just how hard my local store worked to make this a pleasant experience. So hats off to them, I’m thankful that you had the foresight that even I myself lacked in thinking ahead of the potential crowd that would show up...
Read moreI usually LOVE this store, but this is my second time with a frustrating situation with a Shipt order at there store. The order was put in around 6:30pm Sunday with delivery that night (between 8-9pm) The order was pushed back multiple times until it was pushed back til the next day. The next morning the shopper seemed a little new. She told me the eyeliner I wanted was out of stock and did I want to replace it.The out of stock color was not the color I ordered, the replacement color she suggested was actually the color I wanted. Happily I got the color I ordered. I asked her to add on some printer ink which she gave me the 👍 to and then before she checked out I asked if she had the ink and she said she could get it if I told her I needed it, I screen shot the earlier communication about the ink and sent it to her. I was VERY disappointed that on the app it says "shopping has started", clearly it hadn't if I didn't get my order til the next day. Customer already have to watch their app for communication when the shopper starts, to be told at 9:30 the order won't be til the next day is frustrating and makes for an...
Read moreTarget is normally great, the employees work hard and they usually have most everything I'm looking for. Almost all of the employees clean the self-check stations after each use, which I'm assuming is a standard practice. There is one employee at the Hiram store that absolutely refuses to clean the self-check stations after each use. I have made 2 separate complaints about this employee to managers and customer service staff, and today I walked out with the same employee standing there with hands in pockets after each customer left. No cleaning at all.
These are extraordinary times. Many people are laid off or furloughed and would love to have the chance to work right now, even if it required them to wipe down and sanitize after strangers. The fact that one person is allowed to work autonomously inside a large retail store without repercussion is a slap in the face to all of those jobless people. Either Target does not take cleaning seriously or doesn't want to enforce rules to all staff, making customer safety an elective procedure. I won't be returning to this store if I see this employee there, which I...
