Just came up to Sparkles based on the kids skate free link they have on their website and answering machine. When I arrived they advised its NOT FREE and you have to go online to pay for it. I literally brought $10 bucks with me. Enough to get myself in because we have our own skates. Didn't bring a card to pay for anything. Spoke with the GM Morgan. She was super rude and argued with me and told me she couldn't do anything to help me. I asked her if she could help me with the site because it was not working. She said no I have to call or email Hownd and ask them. I asked her why it's on Sparkles website. She said they are just helping Hownd. I asked her why did it say it was free if it isn't. She said she doesn't make the site. I advised her it's on Sparkles website. She said she was not going back and forth with me and I need to contact them. She has 0 customer service. She was not willing to help at all. The other girl advised someone name Jacob is over the site. I asked if they could call him for help. She went to Morgan and Morgan said "Absolutely not". I am so pissed. I have 2 unhappy kids in my car that just watched us get turned away from a very rude GENERAL MANAGER. I have been coming to Sparkles for years and have never dealt with such rudeness EVER. LET HER GO. A manager that doesn't help or accommodate is a horrible manager. She resembles and has the attitude like the mean lady from the movie "The People under the Stairs." My kids are super upset. I left my number for Jacob to call me back. My gas and time is wasted and my kids are sad. All because of a misleading website and answering machine with Sparkles. I even went to my car called someone to pay over the phone using their credit card and still nothing comes up. I spent 1 full hour total at this location trying to help myself. This is a hot mess. š”š”š”š”š” BTW $5 is a great price for yearly skating. But #1 The website and voicemail should not say free. #2 I should not have to be surprised when arrive that it's not free.
I was just at Sparkles last week and my coupons showEd but they had me write down my email. Now this week waste of gas/time. And again 2 upset kids.
Responding to Sparkles: If it cost $4.99 it's not free. You need to put this information on your website and answering machine. Don't let someone drive to the location and tell them. I don't care about the $5. I care that I drove to the location to find this out. I care that my 2 kids were super excited about going skating and couldn't because of false advertising on your website and answering machine.
I have the money but lost the time and gas because this wasn't shown. And I am still waiting for a call from...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy 2nd graderās school scheduled a field trip here today, December 1st, 2023. This is the first field trip that my ex-husband (that lives 1.5 hours away) was going to be to attend. We kept my kindergartener out and he and his wife brought their 2 year old. Parents were invited to come. In the last, I have brought siblings on field trips with no issue. Today, however, my ex-husband, kindergartener and their family was turned away. They were told Sparkles does not allow siblings to attend, even though they were willing to pay the difference. The school supposedly was unaware of this rule. This caused a major inconvenience for my sonās father because they live so far away and was planning on checking him out early to take him to his home for the weekend. My son has ADHD and behavioral issues and was very upset that his dad had to leave because he didnāt understand. I couldnāt accompany my son instead because I have a two-year-old as well. Why isnāt there a waiver? Why canāt we just pay the price difference? This is stupid! Numerous families were turned away after telling their kids they would be there for their field trip, because they brought siblings with them. This is absurd and unprofessional! My ex-husband is having to wait for them to arrive back at the school at 1:30pm to check him out now. MOST DISAPPOINTING FIELD TRIP! Our family will NEVER go here again. Sparkles, next time inform your schools better. This was inconvenient, upsetting, and absolutely unnecessary. It could have been avoided if the school was aware and could have informed parents. I would have just kept my son home and his dad could have taken the kids to Stars and Strikes or Outrageous Mini Golf. Clearly you all have outlandishly poor...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI went here on a Saturday night with my fiance and some friends for a 21 and up night called Sip and Sk8 from 9pm to 12 am. First off, there was a very long line to get in because ID's were being checked and we had to fill out waivers. But only one entrance was open so we were crowded together and it was hot. It also took 35 to 40 mins to get in but it was a $20 entrance fee which included skate rental so....not too bad, I guess? š¤·š»āāļø Once in we were able to quickly get our skates. They had the refreshment stand going and there was wine and beer available. There were quite a few people there and everyone seemed to be having a really good time. Even though I hadn't skated in 20 years or more I EVENTUALLY got the hang of it and was having a great time! The only negatives I could give for this event was it would have been nice to have more of a variety of music being played. They were playing music from the 90's and 2000's but it was only pop and hip hop. Some rock n roll, country etc...would have been nice. Also, I know people like to take pics and videos of each other but there were so many people skating and messing around on their phones at the same time (texting?) That they weren't paying attention and running into people. I got run into and knocked down pretty hard and the person didn't even stop to check on me. However, I will give a shout out to Trey (a worker there) who came and helped me out afterward and was very sweet/friendly. Regardless of the "fall" it was a really great night! I'll...
