Ideal scenic spot that offers a true sanctuary from the "craziness" of New York. Easy to access via tube from Manhattan and then just a short walk to the park. The views from the park are fantastic and offers a great photograph opportunity both night and day. Ideal spot for picnic and offers a peaceful retreat from Manhattan. When in NY i always try and make it to this place.

Pier A is one of my favorite places to catch views of the Manhattan skyline. The Verazano Bridge will be to your right and the GW is off in the distance to your left. There are benches, open green spaces and shaded areas to sit and catch the breeze.
