TLDR: I'd give them a zero if I could. Poor communication, poor outcomes. They do not stand behind their work but are quick to tell you they do.
They were hired to diagnose an issue with our washer/dryer in a rental unit. Tech came in, told us the motor was broken (about a $500 fix per the tech) & ordered a part for us. Apparently, it is a common issue with our combo machine, so we waited for the part & has it replaced (after one canceled appointment by the company).
The motor was replaced but the tech never checked that the issue was actually fixed. Instead, he left and our tenants told us the same issue was happening that night, same error lights, etc. Sign #1 this company is work 0 stars.
I called the company back and spoke to the owner, Saul, who said they guarantee their work so they'd come back and fix the issue. It took over 4 days of calling to get a new appointment. A new tech from Mr. Appliance serviced the machine that day & stated that there was an issue with the motherboard, he couldn't get our machine into diagnosis mode & that "he wouldn't put a penny into the machine". Obviously, that is not what we were originally told the issue was and I know enough about "motherboard issues" to know that we would have replaced the machine over trying to fix it if that was explained to us.
After talking to the new tech, he told us he'd like to come back with the original tech and get the full story/see what went wrong.
We called Mr. Appliance multiple times to speak with Saul & try to set up this new appointment, finally talking to him and having him refuse our requested refund for the new motor appointment until the original tech was back from vacation (5 days later). On the 5th day, we called again and left messages, but Saul didn't call us back.
After a lengthy email to Saul, we were told, via email, that he needed a few more days due to the holiday to get back to us, which he never did.
We decided to replace our washer & dispute the charge with our credit card company. Saul had no issue replying to the disputed charge. Luckily we had plenty of evidence showing a lack of communication and poor diagnosis/follow-through.
Find someone else in the area to work with - this was our first experience needing appliance help but there has to be better people to work...

The Bad: "Mr. Appliance of Hoboken" is in fact a nationwide franchise and has as much to do with Hoboken as Vladimir Putin does.
The Ugly: I was given a four hour window for a follow up appointment for a stove repair. The tech did not make the window, nor was I notified they would not. I called three times once the window finished for updates, each time a different, polite individual told me they would contact the tech for an update and call me back. I never received a call back. I called back and was told the wrong part arrived and the tech told them not to schedule me. Clearly some disconnects in their business model here. Find someone in town or JC. The Bezos model of BS does not work for this industry.
Unfortunately it got worse, and the below AI generated response from the owner leaves that out. They refused to refund me. I got angry. So they called back telling me they wouldn't charge for the mistakenly ordered part. I kicked and screamed on a number of subsequent calls and they eventually gave up and gave me a refund.
