For a place that’s so religious, the store itself feels like purgatory. The building’s ceiling is very low (and flammable too, considering it caught on fire twice in little over a year) and the lighting is extremely yellow, and outdated. The entrance itself is unexaplainably long, with much of the space being decorated poorly with random items and furniture pieces. For a store in the 21st century, these guys are using such an outdated system. There is no barcode system, and employees punch in prices manually, which is not time efficient in the slightest. The music is lifeless and old, walking in feels like a trip back in time. Decor is plain old ugly, who hangs up these things in their homes? Employees seem to glare at you and lurk around you in a strange way. The overbearing presence of religious books, items, and other decor is strange. I’m not one to bash religion, but for a store that markets itself to the everyday crafter, it can be a very uncomfortable experience. Considering this companies terrible morals, and outrageous ignorance towards COVID, I would recommend going to Michael’s across the street. Employees at Michaels are kind, and welcoming, and this store itself is very large, spacious, and...
Read moreI absolutely love the store but unfortunately they must’ve hired new people I go in at least once or twice every other week to purchase my fabric for my business that I run from home. I must’ve had 13 different fabrics that I needed to cut. first of all the girl had no personality and seemed to be annoyed from the start! Ella was rude from the begin. When I asked her a question, she would answer me rudely and roll her eyes Ella was not very nice at all and very rude made me feel as if I were bothering her. I guess I’ll be driving to Howell for my fabric from now on! If it wasn’t for Ella today it would definitely be a five-star her bad attitude bought it down to one star. If you’re going to work with people you should have a much better attitude, maybe even pretend that you want to be there if...
Read moreWent into store as 1st time customer with my friend. While he was getting Micron Pens, I browsed yarn. The woman in framing came out after 20 mins scolding him for testing a paint sharpie that was OPEN already and laying on edge of floor. She never asked if we needed help but made sure she treated us like we did not belong. Obviously she did not use same tactic with caucasian customers. Being he was black and I am Puerto Rican she felt it was her duty to watch over us. The cashier Lisa G was apologetic for pur experience and told her we would be contacting manager and posting online. Artists and crafters of color beware. Spend your money where you will be treated with equality opposed to...
