Music & Video Express — Attraction in Honesdale

REFRESHING! That's how I would describe my experience with Mike and the staff at Music and Video Express. As the owner of several rental properties over the last 25+ years, I needed to buy appliances more frequently than the average homeowner. Most came from big box stores, but I was never really happy with the service or the price. I had heard Music and Video Express ads on radio, stating they could beat big box store prices, so when I needed a refrigerator two weeks ago I gave them a call. Mike answered the call himself, and arranged for the refrigerator I needed to be delivered in less than a week since it was not in stock at his store that day. Throughout the process, I was kept informed of the status, either by Mike himself or by a member of his staff. They even delivered at the time I requested! (Request that at a big box store and see what you get!) And the price? Lower than the big box, with faster and more convenient delivery. We've gotten a dishwasher and a washing machine here. The employees are always kind, patient, knowledgeable, and available to help. Mike will probably forget more than I'll ever know about appliances, and I trust him to guide us to what is best for us, and best deal that'll last (although nothing lasts as long as it used to!). We will continue to return here for all of our appliances. Hes always transparent on cost, and attaches the home depot print out and price right to the machines. I'm glad I can stay local and small and still save a buck.

They also always delivered the appliance and removed the old one without issue. We also had everything ready to go for them, he owns the shop, hes not a repair man to fix whatever issue you had from your original appliance and he won't allow his appliances the be installed in an already incorrect situation, which I am appreciative for, because sometimes you don't know it's wrong and I'm glad I'm not set up...

Our experience so far been as reasonably expected. We ordered a range and refrigerator and delivery has been delayed due the first snowstorm of the year. The refrigerator did not arrive because of the trucking company just being safe. As for Mike, he knows the products that he sells inside and out. He will also inform you of the ones that he doesn't sell and why. So with that knowledge, price comparison and the many Home Depot complaints of delayed deliveries, we chose to purchase from Music & Video Express!
