We decided to give their pizza a try, we are always searching for good pizza in town. This was not it, unfortunately. We ordered a margherita pizza and were shocked at how little cheese there was on it. There were only a handful of tiny pieces of mozzarella on it. The crust was so soggy that there was no way to pick slices up. Such a disappointment. Don't skimp on the cheese at a pizza shop, that is what people are there for. I had seen other reviews saying there was not enough cheese, but this was crazy. The girl at the counter was nice, but the atmosphere was not great; super bright lighting and loud country music would not make me want to dine in. Anyway, we gave it a try but won't be back. Edit just to respond to the snarky response to my review from the less than professional owner. I didn't like your pizza, just as many others have stated. Reviews help others decide what to get or not to get. If others like a pizza like this, it will encourage them to check it out. I was just giving my opinion for others to help them make a decision. As for bringing up a review I wrote 7 years ago for build a bear kiosk where my kid had a bad experience, it just shows your petty nature. You will actually lose business by writing nasty...
Read moreFirst of all it's great to see that downtown honesdale is getting a bit more variety. Their take on NEPA style pizza adds a new twist being their red square and American pies are very similar to Alfredo's Cafe ( not pizza by Alfredo lol) in South Scranton or a thicker version of Waymart Hotel. The fried pizza is very filling but has too much oil that gives a weird aftertaste. It's not Pizza Perfect in Trucksvillle. Their wings with variety of sauces are pretty decent but the price is variable. Market prices have stabilized and it's just price gouging now on all restaurants in the area. Their variety of cheese steaks is what sets them apart. Just don't get a cold sub here. I paid for a $13 for a supreme Italian thinking I'm going to get least a decent hoagie Sharp provolone, ham capicola, prosciutto, salami, sopressata, roasted red peppers, Italian seasoning, oil and vinegar. I got capicola ham, salami and a very thin piece strip of prosciutto with chunks of cheese and roasted peppers and the sopressata was non existent. I would recommend going to Arthur Ave, market 13 or jersey Mike's for a...
Read moreWe tried the Chicago style. I think it was called Mario's favorite or something like that. Also tried the regular fries and cheese steak sandwiches. We didn't like the pizza. Sauce was almost non-existent and not much on toppings. I know that it typically has a thick crust but this was WAY TOO THICK. Fries were very good and a nice sized order. Cheese steaks were very large. Peppers on it were too big and cut too thick. Just seemed to be missing some flavor. We will return to try regular pizza soon. Unfortunately I find all of honesdale pizza shops to have dry over cooked flavorless pizza. I am hoping this won't be the case with our next trip. I Admittedly am pizza spoiled having grown up eating NYC and New Jersey pizza. Must say the girl behind the counter was extremely friendly and patient with us since we took so long to decide what to try first. Overall I like what they did to the place and will update accordingly after we try more of...
