My mind was set to buy a FireWire board if they had what I was looking for, and they had a couple questionable boards BUT, the customer service was way too much hassle. Each employee was very nice, but all the questions about what I normally ride, how long I’ve been surfing, where I’m from, where do I surf, etc… Man, I just want to focus on what I’m buying and if I have questions, I’ll ask. I ended up leaving in frustration. A month later I gave it another try, and again just so bothersome. I grabbed a board to look at, and the guy again “my manager loves those boards!” Brah, are you serious! I walked right out after the 3rd comment within one minute. Like I said, I understand what they’re trying to do, but learn customer body language. Some people don’t like to be hassled. I had no time to think about what I was trying to buy cause I kept getting interrupted during my search. Was ranting to some friends and one knew exactly what I was talking about. I ordered the Florence Marine X Hooded Rashguard from Hawaiian South Shore. This item is a little notorious for being a little tight and the shop went above and beyond to make sure it would work for me!

I placed my order at 10:10 PM Hawaii time and I received an email response 5 minutes later at 10:15 PM from the shop letting me know that sizing ran small and that they could try to verify things for me if I shared my height and weight.

The next morning, they sent a video of an employee who was around my stature trying on the shirt and shared their sizing recommendation for me. Once I confirmed my decision, they had the package processed at the post office later that afternoon.

They could have easily taken the easy route by filling my initial order as-is, since I hadn't expressed concerns about sizing initially. However, they went above and beyond to make sure that I got an item that would work for me in a quick and efficient transaction. 10/10...
