So I fly SW all the time and even own LUV stock. I fly them as they're cheap, give me free checked bags and their employees are usually awesome!
That was NOT the case today 09/06/2023...at about 0850 in the morning for WJ1204 ETD 1025 so plenty of time. If someone from SW wants to verify via CCTV I had a 2 large checked bags, one black and one beige colored. I am wearing black shoes, dark shorts with a grey T-shirt. Male black hair. Or contact me.
Attached lady in blue circled in red calls and points me over to the lady circled in green to take my bags.
But the lady she pointed me to walks away from the counter( she was towards the middle}. She doesn't look at me or say anything to me...fine...maybe she's busy as she is doing something on her cell phone and needs some privacy. So I put my bags on the scale where she was...I didn't go over too her because she was looking at her cell phone and I assumed maybe she needed some privacy for a moment.
In the meantime the blue shirt lady goes back behind the counter and calls a family up. She sees me standing there and says "You need to bring your bags over there" pointing to the other worker. Which would be fine BUT she says it like I'm dumb and should know better and rolls her eyes...are you kidding me? So I tell her she's not helping me...she didn't say anything to me. And she says "Oh, she's not helping you?" NOPE...so she says she will help me right after she finishes.
Besides...IF the other lady was helping me...wouldn't SHE have told me to follow her? Why are you assuming you need to tell me where to go if the other lady is helping me? Am I just refusing to listen to her but will listen to you? Or maybe...nobody is helping me. And if you ASKED with a...I'm sorry is there a problem? I could have explained the situation. But NO. Let's just assume the customer who bought a ticket is the problem and treat them without any...

I highly recommend 1. Bringing your own food as the snack pack is nice but small, 2. Pay to board in group A (not an issue if you have status with SW) 3. Sit near the restroom as the plane has one aisle and 3-3 seat configuration. Some people āsave seatsā even enough you arenāt supposed to and are aggressive about it.
I do not like one aisle planes as using 1 of the 3 restrooms is very difficult as itās almost impossible for two adults to pass each other. Also, I didnāt notice any seat covers in the restroom
The staff are very friendly and the flight was on time. Baggage was unloaded quickly in California but took a while at HNL (return flight). When departing from HNL, they did not have the numbered post so it was confusing when it came time to board.
I wouldnāt fly SW to the mainland from HNL but I would definitely fly to inter islands or within continental states that are less than 3 hours. Having SW in Hawaii at least provides options and competition. And they offer two free...
