At 2pm I wanted to drop off my backpack, it would have cost $20 because they greedily charge a flat rate even though they close at 8pm (taller than usual because I had jumpers inside from winter, but actually doesn't take up an more floor space in their back room than a shorter bag that they charge $15 for) and I'd only need it for 6 hrs (same cost as dropping off a bag at 7:30am and leaving it there for twice as long 12.5 hrs), catch a cheap local bus at 2:27pm to Waikiki Beach but it takes ~1 hour to get there and go shopping (alternative is catching a $50 Uber), but they don't have 24/7 lockers, instead they close at 8pm and only open at 7:30am the next day, but and my flight departed the next morning at 8:20am, and buses returning from Waikiki Beach to the airport only to every 1 hr, so if I arrived at the beach at 3:30pm, I'd only have three choices of return buses at ~4:30pm (if I only stayed at beach for 1hr), ~5:30pm (if I only stayed at beach for 2 hrs), or ~6:30pm (if I stayed at beach for 3 hrs). But the risk was of any of those buses were cancelled or delayed, then I'd be forced to catch an overpriced $50 Uber/taxi, or not be able to access my bags for my flight the next morning. Why don't these airports have "military grade" automated 24/7 lockers instead? So I decided to not go to Waikiki, instead just wasted 18 hours sitting at the airport until my flight. Only place open for food is Starbucks upstairs. At least they upgraded their toilets since my last trip to this airport, but no sign of recliner chairs.

Decent service. In terminal 2 across from bag claim 18. Might have to call to get someone to come up to the counter. Allowed us to go see Pearl Harbor using the number 20 Bus. All day ticket $5.50

Rating 3-stars due to initially poor service (I believe it was on the staff at the time I was there). Got charged for the 28” size (20$) instead of the 25”-28” size (15$) despite literally measuring the size with a tape. Also, could not even leave my jacket on top of my handbag and had to carry it with me the whole day (otherwise I would have paid an additional 12$ as it was considered as a handbag). I don’t recommend this unless you really have a necessity to leave your luggage at the airport.

Update: I left a ukulele on their counter and I called them to check if it was there. This time the staff was super friendly and kept the ukulele without additional charges. I believe we got unlucky at the first time.

However, keeping 3 stars as the service compared to others is a little overpriced, but it...

I guess they have a captive market. We only needed to leave one suitcase for 2 hours but they charge for a whole day regardless. There needs to be a better pricing structure. Also, I know my case is not over 28" BUT they measure including the wheels which puts it into the "extra large" category and the price increases accordingly. $20 + tax for 2 hours!

I tried to explain the bag was not 28" but was told their policy is to measure including the wheels and if I wanted it cheaper I would have to remove the wheels! Fair enough I suppose but not at all customer friendly. We chose not to do it out of principle.

Not fair pricing in my opinion. A stroller, regardless of size (which is way more awkward to store and can be heavier) is only...
