I recently attended the first-ever Chamber Bingo — which, by the way, was completely sold out! It was so much fun, and I can hardly wait for the next one.
One thing that would have made the evening even better would be signs posted to direct attendees toward the correct part of the building. Several ladies my age and older had trouble walking long distances, and it would have been so helpful to know exactly where to go after parking.
This isn’t just for bingo — clear directional signs would be beneficial for all events hosted at the HSCC. It can be pretty frustrating to park, only to realize the event is being held on the opposite end of the Convention Center. I know I wasn’t the only one hobbling along, shaking my head, and muttering to myself, “How hard could it have been to post just a few arrows to point us in the right direction? Just saying, I was parked on the opposite end of where the Event was being held. So YES anytime that I’ve gone to an event at the convention center, the above-mentioned suggestion would have made my stroll alot easier to maneuver. Read moreMy family and I drove 3-1/2 hours with rain pouring all the way to attend our loved ones graduation because it was a significant event. Once we arrived, of course there are hundreds of cars and no parking so we had to park far away and walked. Once inside, it took awhile to find the location as there was no signage. Once we found it there was some rule about no purses (which I had mine). We were told we could not attend the graduation because of the purse and we were told to either take it back to our car or leave. If there were security concerns then a security monitoring system should have been put up and the invitation should of notified people in advance. Because of this mismanagement we missed the graduation!! The Arena should have better written policies. We will not spend our money or time in Hot Springs...
Read moreI recently attended the EAST Conference at the Hot Springs Convention Center and had a great experience. The venue is located right in the heart of the city, making it convenient to access nearby restaurants, hotels, and attractions. The convention center itself is spacious, with plenty of room to accommodate large events without feeling overcrowded. The facilities are well-maintained, including clean and ample bathrooms. Parking is also a plus, with a wide area available for attendees. Overall, it’s a great venue for conferences and large gatherings, and I’d gladly attend...
