We love love love Chutes and Ladders. This is one of the most engaging and entertaining parks for all ages! The location is so close to Hancock and Houghton, you can run to it across the bridge or drive to it. The tall slides are wonderful for adults or older kids and the playground for the little ones has been a joy for my 14-month-old daughter. She has been learning new skills and able to test her sense of adventure and boundaries, exploring climbing steps and climbing back down steps and sliding down slides by herself starting with a small red and then graduating on her own time in one week to the bigger green toddler slides. The sandy beach is gorgeous, with the most beautiful views during the morning, day, and sunset. Consider taking your family here to dip a toe into the super cold Lake Superior and recharge and rewarm on the sandy banks right by the swings and playground. Finally, I would be remiss if I forgot to mention the swings! The swings for little babies are available as standalone or tandem units meaning you the adult can be gazing into the eyes of your little one as you swing. This is an amazing park, it is the place to create...

This place is perfect! I just moved up here for the summer and found Chutes and Ladders to be perfect. My friend and colleague Kristina Wommer recommended we go and wow there is a lot to do as a young family with a 15 month old. Our daughter loves playing on the playground, welcoming her first playful climbs up the jungle gym. We have literally hit milestones on this jungle gym for kids under the age of 2, including our 15 month old finding the courage to slide down all by herself and ring the bell along the way to the top of the structure. The view can't be beat. The water is cold but the beach and the sand and many places to sit (swinging porch swings, benches, etc.) have brought our family countless happy memories watching many lapping waves and setting suns. There is a huge playground whose giant slide is a blast to slide down even as an adult (solo, don't try to ride down the slide with a 15 month old). Finally, we love love love love love love love the ice cream shop which comes along with water sport rentals and a lovely gift shop as well as the close proximity to a family and standard restrooms....

Classic Fun. This ain't your typical park, this is the park that will set the new standard from which your children judge all parks from there on. & let me tell you, there will be no comparison...

Bridges, sand, swings, A FREAKIN' BEACH!!!! there's everything a child needs to have fun under the sun.

They even have shaded spots for the boring adults to hang back in.

Did I mention there's a shop that sells ice cream, drinks, and snacks on location?!?!? What.... yeah ^_^

I once saw a turtle here and I've been coming back ever since.

Don't make the mistake of a lifetime. Stop at Chutes and Ladders before it's too late. Alone, as a couple, with kids, heck bring the in laws there's enough space. Enjoy Life, this is basically where...
