On August, 2nd around 7:50 pm our children who were playing soccer were approached by 2 white security guards, one was a young chubby female with dark brown hair and the other was a bald man, and they came to prevent them from playing as apparently there is a “rule” saying soccer or playing with a ball in this place is only allowed for kids 5 and under per the female security guard statement. I spoke to her as I didn’t want her to talk to the kids, and when I asked when this rule was in place, she stated it’s explained in the “ Code of Conduct” displayed by the entrance of the mall and online. (see the attached image, showing nothing such as this claim is true on their website)
Well… we have been coming here forever and the kiddos play soccer and football ALL the time just like the rest of the kids who come to this place. The funny thing is the two security guards only came up to our kids' group after an old typical Karen invalidly complained about our kids' group who were far from her (she was on the It's Sugar store side and they were in the big screen side) and since we are people of color and hijabis they skipped all the other kids who were playing soccer as well and directly came to us, and she stated the kids can only set and not allowed to do any activities, which sound absolutely and ridiculously unfair and dumb at the same time!
When I confronted the female security that it was clearly racial profiling as we were Muslims, she got triggered by the truth and called a cop on us so we left the property and were banned from the place for the night. The funny thing is they started telling other kids playing soccer it's not allowed just to save face lol. However, I had people who were there after leaving and they said everyone was playing soccer and football as it’s the norm here, and security didn't intervene and I think because no Karen call them to "enforce" an invalid rule.
This female security abused her authority as she didn’t like to get challenged with my question of where it clearly states soccer or any activity with the ball is not allowed for kids over 5 as it's an invalid statement and they only enforce it on certain groups of people I guess!
This place is NOT inclusive if you are a hijabi Muslim as if a white lady or man (Karen or Ken) complained about you or your kids because they simply don't like your presence then their words would be against yours ALWAYS and you would get targeted and a new or even invalid "Code of conduct" would be enforced on you as a way of harassment. This is NOT a safe place for kids who don’t fit certain racial molds! Be aware!
To Baybrook Mall management; if this type of security guard's behavior represents you; then your reputation will be screwed as a racially discriminative place rather than an...
Read moreWe came to try a new place to eat for lunch and I am very glad we did. We have never been to Yard House before so we gave it a go. Of course w football on we wanted to see the games that were playing while we enjoyed some food. It was very nice and had tons of tvs and had a bunch of people in there. We sat at the bar and I got to say there was so many different types of beers to choose from. They also had many other drinks/mixed drinks on the menu. The drinks were good and strong and my husband and I tried a few beers to see how they tasted. Our bartender was very knowledgeable about the food and the selection of beers. We was able to try a sample of a beer before just to see if we liked it/wanted it. The food was amazing. For an appetizer we got chips and spinach and artichoke dip w cheese on top. The dip was good but the chips were a lil to stale tasting or harder than like. But still good. I think next time we will get the tour of onion rings. I got a mushroom burger w white cheese on it w parmesan truffle fries, my son got him a buffalo chicken pizza and my husband got the Korean beef tacos w vampire tortilla. If u haven't tried the vampire outside u may want too it is very worth it. I enjoyed the few bites I had. My son enjoyed his pizza. I think mine was the best out of everyone's! This spot is around a bunch of great places to eat but I am glad we decided to go here cause now this is one of our top faves to eat also. Drinks are a bit pricey but I am looking forward to trying a few different things on the...
Read moreLeft questioning the meaning of life. People everywhere. So many people. I’m not convinced some weren’t AI-generated NPCs. I stepped into a clothing store and immediately lost cell service, time, and my will to live. The mall directory was in ancient hieroglyphics, and the map had a “You Are Here” dot that lied to me. I wasn’t there. I was nowhere. First five minutes: ambushed by someone with a clipboard asking if I “have a minute for a cause.” I didn’t. I lied. I still feel bad. Then a perfume sprayer hit me with enough scent to flatten a moose. I briefly forgot my own name. Tried to find an exit, but instead got chased by a kiosk worker trying to sell me face cream. She came out of nowhere, shouting about “hydration” and my “T-zone.” I didn’t even know I had a T-zone. I didn’t think it was socially acceptable to talk about that in public. Especially around children. I hid in a store that only sells sequined throw blankets and mugs that say “You Got This” in Comic Sans. I do not, in fact, got this. Eventually made it to Hot Topic, hoping for refuge, but it just made me feel like a ghost of my former emo self—haunting the clearance rack in search of purpose. Escaped into the food court where I witnessed a child licking the floor and a teen using a churro like a lightsaber. Three stars because I found a bench and disassociated for a solid 20 minutes while Celine Dion played faintly in the background.
Great if you like people and buying things in person. Terrible...
