Horrible experience!!!! Discrimination and judged by looks. I went to Zales looking for a birthday present. I started looking around and saw a couple of items that I liked and wanted to see. I stood there waiting for someone to assist. There were 3 employees that day, a gentleman and 2 ladies. The gentleman was with a customer and so was one of the ladies (the Asian lady was with a client) The other lady (white lady) was putting up some jewelry so I thought she couldnāt assist so she wouldnāt leave the inventory unattended. The lady arranging inventory knew I was there because we made eye contact several times. But not once did she ask if I needed help. So Iām still waiting itās been about 15 minutes a white customer walks in and the white lady that was putting up the jewelry stopped what she was doing and proceeded to ask him how can I help you and he replied Iām just looking but she followed him and did not leave his side to make sure she helped him properly. I stood there surprised. At the same time this happened the other lady, the Asian lady, becomes available and a white couple walks in and Iām still standing there waiting for assistance. The Asian lady proceeded to help the couple and at this point I felt ignored. The other worked the gentleman that was still assisting the customer must have noticed what happened because he told me I will be right with you and I replied ok thank you. (He was still busy helping the customer). The white lady then had the audacity to ask me āoh did you need helpā and I replied I will wait for the gentleman because heās the only who acknowledged me. I felt judged and discriminated against. I cried that day!!! Oh and I ended up buying a gold necklace and a watch. We finally upgraded my wedding ring to hopefully have a ring that I do not have to turn in every 6 months. When I came in, they kept asking me if that was my correct number asking maybe it was under my husbandās. I stated yes that is my number. Then she stated you purchased another ring, I stated yes we upgraded my wedding ring and she replied I donāt see it. Let me go talk to manager to which they started whispering and looking at me. I started panicking that they had no record of me turning in my wedding ring nor that a new one had been selected. My stomach knotted up and I was ready to cry. Manager looks again, asking the same questions. I was so upset. Finally they called over the sales person who handled the upgrade. She told me it is showing that it was picked up, she found it in the drawer. It had come in on the 9th but I never received a phone call. It showed someone called me. I told her no. I came in on 16th to check since I had not received a call. The manager had just walked away, no apologies for how I was treated and how the ball was dropped with lack of communication. Mumuda Then ran my credit for the full amount Of the ring Instead of asking for the difference. Before She asked for the full amount she asked for a decrease, which Red flagged my account. I was denied At that moment in time, which was a shock to me. She not only mess up my credit by red flag in my account for asking for a decrease, then immediate increase for The full amount.
