Houston Family Fun: Unlimited Rides on the Hermann Park Mini Train!

It’s a really great park. Cohesive design of play elements and landscape. And not just a playground but an entire area that’s actually designed for activity of all kinds and sizes of groups. For anyone complaining that it’s too crowded, you’re probably too big for the play elements. Anyone familiar with FL Olmsted parks in the northeast will see some familiar elements, but at least those recycled and repurposed elements are the best parts of those parks, pulled together and executed all the way through to the detailing. Hoping the water and sun management elements are designed for long-term - I’d like for this to be fun and functional for a long time.

This was a very cool and well-maintained Park. However there were lots of inclines that made it difficult to walk around the park especially if you are someone with physical limitations. It is also a bit stressful for parents of small children running around because it is spread out and heavily decorated with trees. But I would still highly recommend it especially with the amazing splash park next door

Looks great but not very practical. There is limited shade and the playground gets super hot. We went there in late September and was too hot to enjoy. Probably a great place to visit two months of the year. We ended up going to the plush pad next door. It was more of a wet sand play area on the bottom which we passed on. We went further up the hill and found a small, more traditional splash pad. Also with no...

Really awesome playground! Awesome spaceship slides you climb up the inside of the space ship and there is 3 different slides at different levels. All built on top of soft spongy rubber flooring in case someone falls it won't hurt as bad. Nice safety feature. Also the playground is mostly covered and the trees surrounding keep it cooled down a bit. Water fountains that actually work and are not dirty. Perfect...
