This is a great new park. Tons of wet and dry activities for kids of all ages. Amazingly clean and modern restrooms on the playground side as well as unisex changing bathrooms for families on the water pad side. Here’s a few safety concerns: a) the playground equipment has a squishy playing surface that is at very strong inclines making it challenging for my knees and back. b) the playground is very easy to lose sight of your child(ren) even if you are closely watching them. This is a risk to getting separated. c) a saw a dad and child go down the zigzag slide and get jostled back and forth quite aggressively. d) I wonder how hot will the metal slides get in the summer? e) was not as much shade as I would expect for Houston f) on the water features, my child and another child both slipped and fell on the wet teak wood surface. My child slightly cut his chin. g) the wet rocks on the water features pose a major slip and fall hazard if...
Read moreSo the park is beautiful! We came around 7 almost 8 pm. The park its self is super cool the walk paths are nice and all and they have a splash pad. Beautiful. They have 3 different parks, ages 5 to 12, 2 to 5, and 6 to 23 months. But they're infested with RATS! I was there for 15 minutes until I finally gave up because I just kept seeing RATS, not garden mice, RATS. One rat on the pathway would've been fine i guess. We are oustide, but we saw some on the PLAYGROUNDS. As a mother thats unsanitary. There is childrens who's little hands and feet are all over the playground, and yes we wash their hands after but rats carry diseases, and it being a place with little kids (mind you even a place for 6 to 23 month old babies) maybe they should invest in doing something to keep that area free from rats. And yes the park was clean, no trash. Again beautiful park. But in my opinion, save yourself a trip and...
Read moreThe concept is very cool, but whoever designed it definitely did not have children. First of all there is not sufficient parking in the area. Second of all the splash pad is concrete, sand, giant boulders, and wood. The wood got extremely slippery, there was not anti slip placed on the deck. Third, the showers are just placed in the middle of the splash pad with zero privacy to get sand out of swimsuits. The bathroom I was had no venison it's not even hot yet and I walked out of the bathroom drenched in sweat. The playground area looks cool, but the spaceship has metal slides!!! In houston , where the temps frequently reach 100 F +... I don't know what they were thinking. The toddler area has a snake play structure where several toddlers got stuck in it and couldn't get out. Also $5 for a carousel ride that's offered in the zoo...
