It’s well put together consisting of a lot of structures, covered tables, food and deserts for sale, a small lake, carousel, water park and just open grassy areas to relax.

The water park was the highlight of our visit and it seemed to be everyone else’s as well, because it was packed! There were hot dogs, ice cream, snow cones and fruit for sale around the park. There were ppl grilling and having birthday parties as well as lounging on the grass. Def recommend visiting as it’s hours of fun for the kids and adults alike. There is a section for restrooms by the water park area that make it convenient to change wet clothes etc…

Parking is a bit sporadic, as it’s a tiny parking lot on one side in front the park and a space or two opens up...

My family has been pretty locked down the last year and only recently started going back out to playgrounds. So it has been a while since we have visited this one. We were really surprised to see some dangerous rusty areas at the playground that were a major safety hazard. Particularly on a walking bridge on one part of the playground for older children. If a child would have stepped onto this area their leg could have easily fallen through and been cut by the rusted metal. I felt the need to stand over the problem area as I was worried children would hurt themselves on it.

Edit: I contacted the Herman park conservancy about my concern and they said they would forward it to the Houston parks...

Four stars for metal slides that would become unusable in hot weather and sand in the splash pad area that makes cleanup a bit of a hassle compared to concrete or rubber. Also, the splash pad doesn’t have much water and looked kinda gross (sitting water). Otherwise, this park is awesome for kids of all ages! Lots to do and fun slides, climbing, instruments and more. You can definitely spend hours here if your kids have the attention span. Also right near the zoo and lots of other great places to visit. Also, the bathrooms there are pristine and the nicest I’ve...

Just reopened after a 52 million dollar renovation. Park is wonderful! Staff is friendly and professional. Sean, working the gate, was quick to stop a guest from smoking a cigar at the childrens splash area. He was kind and pleasant to talk with. The splash pad is the coolest thing I've ever seen, and the kids even said it beast typhoon texas. I expect this to be packed this summer as word gets out. This is an amazing area for Memorial Hermman Park to provide to the residents of Houston. I'm excited to come back again next week!
