This HD location is the worst. My recent purchase experience for in store pick up was nothing short of a nightmare. The store did not communicate with me at all and delayed my order. This caused me to push back a critical diagnosis on the job site by 24 hours. I had to call the corporate number to see what the hang up was with the order. They related to me that the store was supposed to call me and inform me one of the items was never picked. Apparently when I placed the order, the teenagers working the floor opted not to pick it right away. The borescope camera I had paid for was sold out from underneath me to someone else. Instead of calling me or ordering one in, they opted to just ask corporate to reschedule the pick up. Mind you, this was all told to me by a customer service rep from the main line. So I call the store and inquire about it and was met with the nastiest attitude. They claimed the order had not been picked and that the guarantee for 2 hour same day pick up was no guarantee. They said they never had the camera in stock and therefore it wasn't their issue. After I relayed that their story was inaccurate and that I had spoken with corporate they had changed their tune quick. This location made no effort to update me, to call and ask what I wanted to do, or take accountability for their epic screw up. After finally clearing it up they told me all they can do is cancel part of my order. Which I did, I had no choice as I could not wait days to a week for a camera. Magically my order was then ready for pick up and had been picked... Fast forward to my arrival at the store... Confusion arose again about my order and it's ready status. I stood there for another fifteen minutes while the girl fumbled at the computer and checked the lockers. Big surprise, it was ready like I had relayed it was, despite the screen saying it wasn't. Worst part was that it was still pending cancelation and refund of the scope. It's baffling how awful the customer service is at this location. I will never ever again order from or walk in to shop at this godforsaken location. The people working here need to get it together and do exactly what they are paid to do. If you run a business and need equipment, tools, or parts, do not use this location. It's worth the drive to literally any other...
Read moreI used to like shopping for hardware and home improvement items alot, consider my investment in time and money in over 26 years almost what one would spend on a very expensive hobby after what I would spend as a professional contactor spending other people's money at your storefronts. I have been understanding of the changes needed to combat the theft using secret shoppers, product inaccessibility and excessive scrutiny ECT but its getting almost uncomfortable to shop there or any of your stores for that matter your almost profiling me your valued customer based on appearance or something but I don't wish to be asked every 10 feet or 5 minuits if I need any help, I would not mind it so bad but the herd of service specialist sent to ruin what used to be the best most quite time of my day can't tell me why you should or should not add a non permeable membrane to a new build or is it time to go with new insulated windows. That would be a productive conversation I would not be bothered with but instead feel I am being rushed to make hasty buys without giving anytime to think how things would best go together just to escape the nagging. That's a good day in most cases the bad ones are on the regular where it is hard to see the savings as whole isles are scattered around the store to remarket unknown tools or repurpose good material for seasonal effect the same associates that just had been asked to do all these Wonderful things the day before have no idea what your looking for and encourage use of the app as opposed to helping me out. I have found some rather good places to spend my money and my time at and the big box stores need to figure out there security issues before they run all the loyal customers off just saying. Cox lumber figured out how to stop the thefts I'm sure the depot can do something...
Read moreYesterday January 7th 2024 about 11:23am I had a concerning interaction with the police officer working security in the store that is closest to my house! (6810 Gulf Fwy, Houston, TX, 77087)
I noticed a black Toyota Supra with no front license plate backed up to the fire exit doors, where it is clearly marked âFire Exit Do Not Blockâ, so I took a picture and proceeded inside to shop to let someone know about the unsafe situation, when I entered your store, I saw a policeman, and thought, good he will help.
Boy was I wrong, he said âyeah itâs my carâ I asked him if he thought it was a good idea to block the fire exit and he said âyeah thatâs where they told me to parkâ so I said âand you thought it was a good ideas to block a fire exitâ and he raised his voice and said yeah, as I was walking away he raised his voice again, I was 20â away and he said said loud enough I could hear âmind your business buddy!â
I was shocked by the behavior from a police officer officially working as a security representative of Home Depot, and out of fear of retaliation from a police officer unhinged enough to say such a thing to a customer, when I was only trying to report an unsafe situation, a crime in fact, after his , I did not feel safe reporting This behavior to the store manager, For fear of retribution from the police officer. Because of this, I will not be shopping with Home Depot until I know this situation has been resolved.
I am contacting Home Depot first and asking if this a policy that as company Home Depot has, to instruct police officers working in an official security Capacity to block fire exits, putting the lifeâs at risk of men, women and children?
I wonder if this is because theyâre worried about people leaving through the fire door stealing something, Sounds like profit...
