This place is dirty and not worth your money. My husband and I had issues here when we brought our kids to play. The workers seem uneducated and donât know how to converse and resolve issues. Sadly, the manager who was in charge this day who refused to give his name, got physical with my husband in front of our children when my husband politely asked to see the cameras because we overpaid at the counter and our receipt showed something different than what we had purchased, the man proceeded to yell âhell noâ and that we didnât have the right to see anything and that we accused his worker of stealing, before we could get another word out to him to please check our receipt and cameras to see what we where talking about, he continued to yell that we were not allowed to see their cameras. Confused to his reaction, we told him the people with us saw that we overpaid after checking our receipt and the prices and rules on their chalk boards. He treated us unfairly. I am still confused to his reaction. I asked him to call the cops so the cops could help mediate because he didnât know how to communicate and he continued to push my kids, husband and I out all the way to our vehicle. We felt unsafe in the parking lot because of what he was doing and after getting our children safely inside our vehicle the âmanagerâ continued to curse at my husband and punching our car after he asked why he was acting that way if we where being calm and just asked to see the cameras for confirmation. We where confused and uneasy, and because of how the person responded, we where better off leaving safely with our babies all being ok, rather than getting any money back they owed my husband or getting hurt because the manager was out of control. Needless to say, we never returned or ever will come back to this place. Better driving off a little further to find a more suitable location that is safe and has well trained personnel and managers on how to handle situations that may arise. They should have procedures and protocols for situations like this, to have untrained personnel, is dangerous, especially when they may have anger issues or mental health problems. If you donât love your job, find something you love doing. And if you had a bad day before coming in, better to not take it out on other people if you couldnât handle one more straw. Take a breath and figure out how to handle a situation before you respond. Seriously traumatized from the experience we had. I shouldâve posted this the same day this incident occurred but I was so shaken up, that I just wanted our kids and husband safe. So that is why I am posting this so late. Just be...
Read moreWe've been here a couple times now and really enjoy it. They have batting cages, go-carts, a mini arcade that takes quarters (nothing costs more than $1 and you can earn tickets for prizes), and indoor putt putt. We've only played putt putt and played in the arcade. The putt putt is super cheap. $6/adult and $3/kid. They offer military discounts too, so each military member or veteran is only charged as a child. You play 2 rounds of 9 holes and it's actually quite fun. We drive an hour just to go to this place, but it's worth it to stay out of the heat and rain while having some fun at a fraction of the price. Maybe next time we'll hit up the other attractions like the batting cages and go-carts. Yesterday, we spent $35.50 there for a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 teens that count as adults). That included 18 holes of golf, 2 bottles of water, playing in the arcade, and walking away with some prizes after a couple of hours or so there. Totally worth it! Side note...I won at putt putt...
Read moreMy first visit here was about 27 years ago on a date with my girlfriend, who is now my wife, and it was as inviting as it was back then. I had the pleasure of going here a few weeks back and was lucky to talk with one of the owners. Stephanie was very welcoming and told me about the history of US Golf and Games in Houston, TX.
When I walked through the front door just on my right, I felt a wave of nostalgia sweep over me when I saw Pac-Man, one of my favorite video games from the mid-1980s. Back in the day, playing Pac-Man and most other video games cost only .25¢. With inflation, they should cost more, like $3.00 a video game. I was pleasantly surprised it didn't cost more, and with video games starting at .50¢, that's a no-brainer.
I don't currently play baseball, but this would be my go-to place to practice in the batting cages, especially since they're in a controlled environment.
I cannot wait to go...
