As we all know we are experiencing a large disaster in all of Houston and surrounding areas. Today as an employee and shopper at this mall I am disappointed in the mall owner and management team. The reasons for this are because as the days leading up to this hurricane Harvey and rain storm the mall had no plan in place to protect employees at the mall nor the vistiers because of the American greed. They never closed the mall down and not even had a plan in place to ensure a safe situations for either parties. Their response to everything was get with your corporate office and store managers but these people aren't always located in Houston, therefore they don't know how bad things are for us and as most corporations will follow the lead of the malls they are under terms and contracts that have to be followed through. If the mall doesn't set a plan in place then all of the heads above will see it's not a big deal because if they don't close down or don't have plan in place then we are stuck playing a waiting game until everyone makes up there mind, and then in the back in put everyone in danger. Today days later from the disaster I call the mall to find out the status of the Mall because as far as I know the mall is out dated and It's in a flooding zone. There are flooded roads all around the mall. During just regular rain falls and storms the mall is practically falling apart with water dripping and streaming through out the mall roofs into the mall stores and hallways.During this record breaking storm why wouldn't we believe otherwise. So because there was no updates on their website on the status of the mall , I as many others have had to call and what happens is A very rude man answered me with a rude voice and once again said call your corporate office and hung up on me. I call back and of course tell him why did he hang up and he was rude and again told me he couldn't take my call and hung up on me. Idk about anyone else but wouldn't you maybe ask "are you ok from the storm "and "say yes we're are open be safe on your way here If you are a shopper or employees "and have a better tone. since this is a very hard time for many of us. Well this man did the opposite and basically told me I'm not even sure what stores are open and who has open their stores and he couldn't talk and Call your corporate office. To be honest all I wanted to ask him the second time I called was to find out how did he get to the mall and what routes he took because as far as goggle maps all the roads and freeways are all closed around the mall and the regular route I and other co workers of mine take are showing still closed . I really love my job and is the only reason I work in this location but as far as the mall it self it's outdated and poor mall management staff/ owner. We are Houstonians and as that we should be helping each other not being rude and hard tone for all you know I might have lost it all during the storm and my employment is my only hope and faith for a better tomorrow, God bless everyone. Just know this mall is not top on the list of places to shop , dine . It needs more know brand stores and mall management/ owners...
Read moreThe layout, and decor is nice...typical for TX ranch/farm style and color. But..allot of the store were empty or just not open as the hours posted indicated. The few store there or open had sale discounts going on...as high as 75%...guess trying to attract those "last minute" tax return shoppers or early summer shoppers. I like that the mall has a small "Kids Play Area" but my 10 month would NOT be playing there. The germs "wave back at you". The carpet is dirty and there are allot of dirty spots, the toys are sticky...so they need a deep cleaning and the seating area need to be replaced...allot of cracks from over use and seating form is coming out. Lastly, the Food Court is a joke. If your hungry...you're better off eating before you go. Out of the 7-10 spots available...only 3 are open and 2 were opening up on my way out the mall. Walked by one spot and their hours posted said 10am but it was 1:30pm. WoW... REALLY??? The few name brand stores...like Victoria secret, Body Works, Addidas, Foot Locker, a few jewelry stores, and other clothing stores like Rainbow, Austin 5 all had sale hard to pass up. A good last minute place to shop or do an exchange or a place to go if you want to avoid the crowds at the places like...
Read moreMost definitely an awesome community mall, (ive seen the rockets do signings or kid festivals etc) its very quiet and easy to get through. Although there isnt many name brand stores there still is awesome fashion with affordable tags - i prefer this because when my company has its functions i know no one will have the same outfit since these stores arent in every mall. But with the name brands i know i never have to wait in line at bbw or Victoria secret. All business start from somewhere so even if its small id rather support it. The agaci just expanded so its overwhelmingly huge but with so many options now including plus size high end fashion. Now the food court is small but there are also hidden gems like leos sandwiches (their chili cheese fries are addicting af esp with salsa verde), pizza place, cajun grill, mexican(which has papusas) smoothies etc. Best part is that it has poke stops indoors and a gym too (if you want to embrace your inner nerd you dont have to sweat) Ive worked off and on in this mall for years since i was a teenager and i can definitely say there's been improvements. Hopefully there is room...
