Sadly had a horrible experience at this Menards in Hudson. I interacted with 3 people at this location and am sorry to say that they ALL need to be educated on how to treat customers. My experience started with a young teen boy with dirty blonde hair with a trendy hairstyle that didnāt even acknowledge me when I asked if he could find something and see if the store had any stock of it. He just said he would look and see, but then brought back an older middle aged woman who was horrible. Mainly I want to point out that this older lady who had curled dark brown hair with tints of red in it was honestly incredibly bitchy. She was pretty tall as well, just to try and describe her. I didnāt get a chance to look at her name tag as I was so shocked and disgusted at how argumentative and snarky she was. Menards should be ashamed to have her as a worker and should do something about her immediately. After hearing the way she spoke i wanted to leave the store immediately but i still needed to find more lawn products which would have been found in the Gardening section of the store. To lead into my next experience, there was a younger lady with blonde hair working a desk by the garden section of the store. I Asked her if she could see if Menards had a certain item in stock and she didnāt even say āYesā or āOf courseā. She just looked down at her computer and just started typing, leading me to not even know if she was assisting me. She eventually said āNo we donāt have thatā. Not a single smile or pleasant attitude at all. From ANY of these workers. This is greatly disappointing and repulsing. This experience can be summed up with these descriptions of the workers: a teen who barely spoke, a rude middle aged woman, and a gen z girl who HATES her job. Not a very good lineup...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI stopped at the Hudson location to get a shower surround. I knew they had it in stock because I checked on their website. At first the woman in plumbing told me they didn't have it. After checking for each section she found them. Printed the invoice and told me to go to door 15 in the back. She didn't say anything about paying so I figured I have to pay at the door. Got to the yard gate and the guy told me I had to go back in and pay. Back in the store, paid, finally got to door 15. Woman checks the boxes against the invoice and I load the stuff in my truck. Driving out the gate asks me for the invoice, the woman didn't give it to me, had to go back and get it. The yard gate guy checks my boxes against the invoice. I get home (a long drive away) They gave me the wrong wall ends for the surround and the back wall has a crack in the top corner. I live far away from the closest Menards. I had a 4 hour round trip to Rhinelander, WI. to return/exchange them. Since it was their mistake I emailed the "guest services" to see if they would compensate me for this mistake, after all 3 of their employees misread that invoice. The response was no, and the person suggested that I could have checked the boxes too! From the store purchase in Hudson, to the customer service response, there wasn't a single thing in this whole transaction that went as it...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI attempted to order a product that Menards was having trouble getting. The employee I spoke with said he would check to see when it was going to be available. The next day he called and informed me he was able to get this with some work in a month. Great customer service.
I was told if I wanted it he would need a days advance notice. I called explaining the situation and asking to speak to the person but I didn't know his name. The next person (manager) said it wasn't avaliable and wouldn't be for 4-5 months. I asked why the gentleman said otherwise and was again informed it wasn't available. I asked if the gentleman I originally spoke with could call back as the manager didn't know what I was told something different. 5 days later no call.
I called and asked for the original person again. A 3rd person said he would have the original gentleman call. He also said he would email the buyers again to find out. I said why can't we just talk to the original gentleman that I spoke with as another email could become confusing. The 3rd guy sent an email anyway and found out, basically what the 1st guy told me except wanted me to wait 2-3 weeks to place the order.
I gave up. Too many hands in the cookie jar and everything becomes a mess. I...
