Protein House - Disappointing Experience

We visited Protein House recently and, unfortunately, left feeling unwelcome and unappreciated. Upon entering, we weren’t greeted by any staff and had to use the self-service computer screen to place our order.

Things went downhill from there. Shortly after we sat down, an employee began cleaning the drink receptacles near us. These were empty, meaning that the fountain beverages we paid for were for absolutely nothing. Instead of keeping cleaning supplies in a designated area, they used one of the chairs at our table to stand on and placed a large washing rack right on our table—taking up half the space. To make matters worse, the rack fell, sending items clattering to the floor. Rather than apologizing or addressing the disruption, the employee gave her coworkers an exasperated look and didn’t clean up the mess right away.

Throughout our meal, we felt like an inconvenience rather than customers. The staff acted as if we had stayed past closing time when it was over an hour before close. They started putting up floor mats, sweeping around us, taking out trash from behind the counters, and pulling chairs away to clean underneath them—all while we were still eating.

My mom, niece and I stopped in yesterday for takeout. I was impressed with the warm welcome and friendliness of the owners and staff. I can tell the owners take pride in their business and the healthy options they provide to their customers. We talked to the owner for a few minutes about the salmon and where they bring it in from. So with that we ordered the salmon wrap and it was AMAZING! We also picked up two brownies (made with sweet potatoes) and a cookie. Both also delicious.

One item we ordered was inadvertently missed. I went up to the counter to ask about it and they apologized immediately and offered to make it up for us quickly. We declined since we needed to head out, but the owner handed us two certificates for the next time. He went above and beyond and was incredibly friendly.

The Protein House offers something new and fresh for our Hudson community. I hope it sticks around and people give them a chance to work through the new business growing pains that all new startups experience. Based on my experience, the owners and staff are friendly, their food and beverage is made with pride and to my opinion - high quality, and a place I will definitely...

I went there for the first time with my family, looking for healthier options.

I ordered the Mediterranean Wrap and air fries it was delicious. I was not able to eat the whole wrap . I had enough for left overs.

I ordered the peanut butter cookies , they wear surprisingly delicious not over powering with sugar.I could not eat them all at once. My daughter didn't care for them because they were not sweet enough.

The price is higher, but your paying for real food without chemicals.

The place was nice and clean. We found a spot to sit while we waited for are food to get done. We ordered it to go. They labeled the meal that that had the items that was asked to leave out.

Great option for people that have diet restrictions or health problems or stomach isses. You can have them leave out something if you ask them too.

It took a while for the food to be made. But it is worth the wait.

The drink I got was apple and something I cannot remember. I didn't really care for that because it tasted like it had artificial sweetener in it.
