This Verizon store is possibly the worst in this area for the following reasons:
Trash customer service. A. I went on a missions trip to Cuba and stopped in to see if I can get international. The service rep told me I should be able to get coverage. After asking to verify his information he assured me Iâd be good in Cuba. He was wrong and there were different laws in Cuba for cellular devices. B. My mother in law had passed and I went into the store to get her phone turned off. The manager(though he didnât know yet about my mother in law) started off saying we donât do that in store. He told me to contact the number and was pushy about not doing it. I asked why they donât do it in store and he replied we donât do it in store any more unless someone dies(note he was smiling when he said it) then I told him well my mother in law died so I guess this can happen in store. Youâd think this guy would apologize but instead he said my bad, never expressed any condolences and passed me along to another rep. After speaking to the second rep he assured me the phone line would be turned off and my bill should stay the same. He failed to mention that with the downing of the 4th line all other phones on the plan would go up by 10$ each. He had me switch the address which for some reason cause my internet to get clocked. Not sure of the reasoning for that since Hudson, WI says it has 5G ultra wide coverage. The failure of this rep was most likely do to the awkward moment by the previous person being disrespectful about my mother in law passing. C. I also contacted customer support and waited for a rep for 5 mins then he put on hold for another 10 mins after explaining my internet speed dilemma. When he came back he said thatâs not my department and offered me a different number. This is why people go into the store. When I asked him to transfer he stated he canât do that and to call the number. D. This has nothing to do with this store but another store in Lakeville. My mother in law who was towards the end of life went into the store and a sales rep convinced her that she had a free upgrade to a new phone and would not get charged. I told her donât get the new phone and that the rep was lying but that was after the fact of getting the phone. She was so bother by the phone and went into the store to have the rep explain why it was costing her extra money. He kept giving the my mother in law the ringing around saying it is free. Note it was never free and we had to pay off the phone after she passed. Good job Verizonâs sales rep in Lakeville for taking advantage of an old dying lady. I hope you make your mother proud.
We love Verizonâs cellular coverage since Verizon is by far better than all the other cellular companies. The issue here is bad customer service and moving towards models where the in store people are not helpful. Also, whatâs up with all these companies making AI transitions for customer support that are epically useless or so unnecessary complicated it make anyone wanna hang up or request...
Read moreGenuinely the most miserable experience I have ever had as a customer. Repeatedly lied to by staff. Staff had no interest in solving the problem I came in with and were only interested in getting me on track to buy as many Verizon products as possible and upsell me at every opportunity. Didn't listen when I voiced concerns, went out of their way to make the whole experience feel as creepy and cultish as possible. Even the design of the store is creepy (waiting area on the opposite side of the store as the entrance). Go here if you want to feel like you're in the first act of a horror movie.
Update: while I appreciate the comment from the owner below, I want to stress that a huge part of my issue is that I am not a member of the "Verizon family" and don't want to be. I'm just a guy who goes to a phone store when he has an issue with his phone, and I want to be treated as such. I had just purchased a new phone when I came into the store and wanted help transferring my info from my old phone to my new phone, and within seconds I was being pushed to buy another phone and totally ignored when I repeatedly said that wasn't what I wanted or came in for. Nobody, and I mean NOBODY, wants to be in the Verizon family. We just want phones, man.
I was also told by your staff that I couldn't open my new phone or else I wouldn't be able to return it to Walmart, which just...isn't true? Or at least, that's not what the folks at Walmart told me, and why would Verizon staff know Walmart policies better than Walmart staff? It felt like they were intentionally lying to me to get me to buy products from...
Read moreStay clear of Alpha and the Hudson, WI Verizon team. We were lied to about lines that "had" to be included on our business line for one year. While in the store, I heard multiple reps using this tactic. When we called into Verizon later, we were told that was not true and was not mandatory. Alpha also built us programs using his own excel spread sheets. You would think Verizon has plans built and website pages to look them over on, not some hand typed sheet by a rep on excel. Side note- He didn't even care to get my name right on my business account. It was linked to our 12 year old and she was the admin. This was more time wasted when we called in to fix things. Terrible care for the customer. We were given the wrong phone for my daughter and then told to pay more. Now she has to get another phone and buy a new cover. Alpha did at least work with us here to get an account credit. Again, time and energy wasted. My iPhone 14 dropped calls from day 1. I work from this line. After 2 failed attempts at getting a new phone, both orders were unknowingly canceled. Alpha pushed us off to a 1-800 to finish his poor work. I am extremely unhappy with the poor customer care and the 10+ hours my wife and I have wasted fixing their lies and mistakes. I am in sales too. I believe in taking care of people the right way, the honest way, and you will get...
