"Holiness to the Lord, the house of the Lord", reads the inscription on the temple wall. Beautiful spirit dwells here. Recent renovations have only added to the stunning grandeur of this place. Excellent place to visit with loved ones. The temple closed on July 11, 2011, for extensive renovations and was rededicated on November 18, 2012, by Thomas S. Monson.2 Preceding the rededication an open house was held between October 13 and November 10, excluding Sundays.4[6] The renovation included work on the heating and cooling systems and a reconfiguration of the floor plan to make it more efficient.[7] Most visibly, the marble tiles that covered the temple were removed and replaced with gray granite tiles. The Boise Idaho Temple is the 29th constructed and 27th operating temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The temple is located in the city of Boise, Idaho. The rededication ceremony was scheduled for Sunday 18 November 2012 in three sessions. These temple dedication sessions are always broadcast to local LDS Church buildings through closed-circuit television, so that Latter-day Saints for whom there is no room in the temple can participate in the event. Special recommends stating worthiness are necessary to attend a Mormon temple dedication, even in an overflow room. Those attending the actual service within the temple walls will have standard temple recommends, while those in overflow locations need only special use recommends. Children aged 8 and over may attend in...

Although the renovations were completed about a decade ago, I continue to love the updated colors and design choices—they’ve held up beautifully and add to the calm, reverent atmosphere inside.
The temple workers were incredibly kind and welcoming each time I visited, and I’m grateful for how smoothly everything ran. This was a great reminder that I should make it a point to attend the Boise Temple from time to time, not just for convenience, but for the connection I...
Read more"Mormons are terrible people..."? This is a text book example of prejudice or bigotry, wherein a negative statement is made about 15 million plus people across the globe. Any negative blanket statement about millions of people is clearly based on fear and/or hate, and should be immediately discarded. I'm sure that the individual who made this statement would not appreciate a similar rebuttal about the LGBT community. Please do not judge the whole based on the actions of a few.
