I was very disappointed with my service here. We were six bridemaids in total, made a appointment back in October to try on some dresses. While there we didnt have much assistance trying on the dresses we clipped one another in and had to find someone who worked there if we needed more clips or assistance with anything. 3 of us ended up purchasing a dress at stephanies. We ordered october 12 and didnt end up getting our dresses until February 9th when being told multiple times there would be here the end of January. I went by myself to try my dress on and pay the rest off. I paid, then conitued to go try it on the dress fit great! When trying to take the dress off the zipper would not come down. Long story short they had to CUT me out from my dress and told me they would have the alterations lady fix the zipper free of charge because it was not my fault, just a jankity zipper. Andie, the manager was very apologetic about what situation and said they would make it right. Elsa their alterations lady, on the other hand is extremely rude, and does not do good work. Andie told me my dress would be done the end of the following week. (Cut out from the dress on thursday feb 9th) it ended up being two weeks later on a sunday. I just showed up because I was in the area and it takes me about 35 min to get there. Andie informed me she got the dates mixed up and that my dress was there and ready. I try on the dress and the left side of the zipper is CLEARLY higher the right. This is after id been waiting 5 mins to be zipped up so i just had my boyfreind come in the do it. A employee went to go get elsa the alterations lady. Remind you, i have never seen/talked to this women in my life. She stormed over to me and started yelling at me off the bat. After she finished i asked her if she thought the back was even, she turned me around roughly unzipped and zipped my dress and rudly said that " that was as good as it going to get, take it or leave it". I seriously could not believe it. I immediately call Andie over and she apologized for elsas actions. She told me her ladies in the back would try to even the zipper out and but a hook on the top. I come back the third time and try my dress on..they werent able to move the zipper but the hook helped a little bit. The also steamed it for me because it looked as if it had been thrown in a trunk. They offered me no refund when i asked. Cinsidering NONE of this was my fault and I paided full price for the dress. After two of the other bridesmaid posted bad reviews i got a call offering me a $50 refund. Of course i took it. If anything it paid for my 3 over a hour round trips. Read moreI’ll preface this review by saying I DID end up buying my wedding dress here by some stroke of luck, but the experience I had and overall vibe of this shop are way below satisfactory. I’m honestly surprised I even walked out with anything because I had such poor interactions with the employees at Stephanie’s. I drove 3 hours to KC to check out a few bridal shops - Stephanie’s was the last stop on my list and we were running a bit late but I called to let them know that. They claim you need an hour and a half for your appointment but I haven’t spent more than 45 mins at any bridal shop and the selection here is slim to begin with. When we arrived, the lady at the front desk greeted us with hardly any interest or eye contact. She told us it would be a few minutes & then without explanation, starts walking over to another group and leaves us stranded in the lobby. Another employee walks by and asks if we’ve been helped - to which the lady from the front desk says that another girl will be our consultant. No direction to look through dresses, take a seat, etc.... very confusing. We look through all the dresses before the girl even gets to us. The worst part is, she is the THIRD employee there to ask me questions about my wedding and what style I’m looking for. It is incredibly annoying to have to repeat yourself when you’ve already communicated this information to them - and I even filled out the online questionnaire that they email before your appointment. Anyways, I’m not sure how any of that information helped her because she didn’t pull a single dress for me. I showed her the only one I liked and she took it to the dressing room. As I waited for her to pick out some similar styles, she stood with another employee and was gossiping - right in front of me! It was extremely unprofessional. The whole time I tried the dress on, she stood by the side offering little advice or help. She even wandered off for long moments and seemed generally disinterested, which annoyed me even more. It took me a while to decide on the dress because I had such a bad feeling about the place. Read moreMy Dress shopping day was July 30, 2023. I had booked two bridal boutiques that day and brought my maid of honor and bridesmaids. Stephanie’s was our first stop. When I walked in, Megan greeted me and got started on my preferences and paperwork. While I was talking to her, my girls were picking out dresses. I let each of my girls pick out a dress. I tried on four dresses, and fell in love with the first one. when I thought I had my mind made up, Megan asked if I would be open to trying just ONE more dress on. When she showed me the dress, I thought to myself, “I will try on this dress just to keep an open mind, but I can tell it’s not my style.” When I came out of the dressing room with that dress on, my girls’ jaws dropped. When I looked at myself in the mirror, I fell in love with it. I asked the girls if I should try the first one back on, to make sure and they said no, this one was THE ONE. We still had another appointment to get to, and even though I wanted to cancel it, again, I wanted to keep an open mind. So we went ahead and went to the second bridal boutique. The whole time I tried on dresses at the second place, I couldn’t stop thinking about the dress at Stephanie’s. That same day, 10 minutes before they closed I walked back into Stephanie’s and bought my dress. Megan was amazing to work with, super sweet, knowledgeable, very helpful, and patient. How often do you go wedding dress shopping and your consultant ends up picking the dress you actually fall in love with? A dress you wouldn’t have ever picked out on your own? I would say, Megan definitely knows what she’s doing and I couldn’t be more thankful for her finding that dress and bringing me out of my comfort zone and in to something, I had no idea, I would feel so comfortable in.
