Longboard House — Attraction in Indialantic

I'm a local and could have been a long-term, loyal customer. That will not be the case.

I stopped by there for a leash and a ding repair kit. My wife and I were talking to a very nice, helpful employee in the board room. When talking about the proper kit I'd need, I mentioned that I had the board there and maybe I should consider a proper repair. I brought the board in and immediately a fellow broke out a piece of paper and started writing up an order and marking a layout of the board where the dings were. At that point, we hadn't even decided whether they'd do the repairs or I'd just get the kit. My wife and I talked it over and agreed to let them do the repairs. We were told these dings weren't serious and it would cost about $40.00 and take "a couple of days."

After a few days, I called and was told the board would be ready tomorrow. The next day, I called again. Yet again, I was told it would be ready tomorrow. It ended up being a week.

When I got the board, I paid $45.00, grabbed the board and left. I'll admit it, I was in a hurry. I looked the board over when I got home and was shocked at what I saw. One ding was filled with wax. Another was properly repaired and the others were ignored.

Given the fact that I was misled from the beginning and misled each time I called, I shouldn't be surprised that the work turned out to be inferior. Lesson learned.

Obviously, I'll never go back. If I can't trust their repairs, I don't think they can be trusted with sales, service or anything else. Longboard House, you got your $45.00, but you cost yourselves far more than that in potential...

I’m So bummed, going here used to be a real treat when we are visiting family, it was always fun to get a couple of cute summer accessories and memories from our trips to Melbourne Beach but service in the store has gotten awful. I was shopping with my sister-in-law and our 2 teenage daughters, the staff girls gossiping by the changing rooms making both our daughters feel extremely self-conscious and watched like hawks for shoplifting even though they where shopping with their moms, then being told by six different employees that the store was closing at 6 - finally at 5:45 to please make our final selections of we where going to buy anything….. As we were paying, another customer came in and they were told by the cashier that they were closing in 5 minutes. They told the cashiers they just wanted to get a bathing suit, as they walked away, the employees made a rude comment that buying a bathing soon is not a 5 minute thing. I know the owners have spoken to employees about letting customers in the store, even if they are closing in 1 minute. The owner may want to retrain the current staff on good customer service. The staff on the board side were great! If this is how is going to be, I would rather not spend the premium price that they charge for...

I absolutely LOVED visiting this store today with my daughter. The racks are full of adorable quality brand clothing, and a great selection of sandals, adorable jewelry, sunglasses…. I found a couple new products that I am in love with now! I had a great conversation with one of the ladies and she was very kind, conversive and attentive. There was a few employees in the store, all offering assistance multiple times (I have read some bad reviews about others feeling targeted or getting a negative impression from this but to each their own. While my teen daughter did mention how she was asked 3 times in the fitting room if she needed a different size, and again “are you sure you dont need a different size”, and did feel a little uneasy with that) but I will ABSOLUTELY take the offerings as many times as I was given, as SO many stores, you get NO assistance at all, let alone FIND someone to ask! I also have read some bad reviews on their “high” pricing in this store, and I do not agree. The prices at this store are spot on for the brands they are selling. Also, reading that this is a family owned store, I will hands down support this business. I will definitely be stopping by again before heading back home, and again if and when I come back...
