Bungalow Beach Place — Attraction in Indian Shores

Our experience checking in to room #2 was frustrating. Vacasa gave us some trouble and it took over an hour after our designated check-in time to finally enter our suite. We booked two suites for our family, which was fortunate because had we not, we would have been waiting outside in the heat for that entire time. It was disappointing that Vacasa did not seem to understand the urgency of our situation, especially after driving for hours to get there. We had requested early check-in, which would have been great since we were traveling with a baby and toddler, but unfortunately, it was not allowed. This made the delay in getting to room #2 even more frustrating.

Once we were settled in, we found that the shower in room #5 had drainage problems and would clog while we showered. The rules were also a bit annoying, with check-out being too early and check-in too late. Despite these issues, we did enjoy our stay overall. The location was right on the beach and parking was easy.

One thing to note is that they didn't provide enough toiletries, so be sure to bring your own and don't forget hand soap. The rules stated that we shouldn't use their bath towels as beach towels, but they expected us to wash our beach towels before leaving. However, they did not want us washing our beach towels in their laundry machine, which we think is a typo that needs to be corrected.

Great little place and the going rate was fair. I would recommend it to friends but I personally would change it up my next time I visit the area. I did have a few problems during my visit which is why I'm giving it four stars. When I arrived at the unit, the toilet did not work, and some light bulbs were out. To be fair I understand these problems happen and the owners got the problems covered after I informed them about it. I did have to keep fixing the toilet, it would either run non stop or never flush. I looked past it but at the same time during my vacation I rather not deal with the problem. They had a sticker on the toilet that said if the toilet keeps running water please call them. If this was a known issue, why was it not already fixed or replace the toilet parts. The outside had some serious rust on the the metal causing an eye sore. I get that salt in the air will cause this problem, a yearly paint job or oiling down the metal would of prevented this eyesore. The LED bulbs outside only one side worked which was upsetting. Overall the price was right and having the luxury of walking right outside the sliding glass doors onto the beach was something limited in the area. Bungalow Beach Place is nothing short of a small piece of paradise! I found this little treasure coincidentally while visiting a friend's Facebook page. I was captured by the photos of her family, adults & children, playing right on the beach just steps away from their accommodations. I immediately knew this would be the place we would spend our summer getaway! As soon as we arrived, there was no doubt we had made the right choice. We stayed in Bungalow 9. The room was cozy, practical, CLEAN, & had anything & everything anyone could want or need. Everything in the room was at or above par. My family quickly got ready to hit the beach after checking out the accomodations & agreeing on the sleeping arrangements…kids :) The property had a nice sitting area right along the front of the building, facing the water. Here is where my husband & I, along with our three little boys enjoyed our first beach bonfire & a magical sunset right on the ocean. Bungalow Beach Place served as the PERFECT vacation spot for our family! We have all intentions of making our visit here an annual family tradition.
