Indian Shores Food Mart (The Shore Store Convenience & More) — Attraction in Indian Shores

If I could give this place less than 1 star I absolutely would. Came here on vacation and saw a sign in the window, driving by, for bait. My 7 year old son and I wanted to try fishing in the bay behind our condo so we walked up here to buy bait and maybe get some insight on what to use since we’re not used to fishing in salt water. We asked the clerk for his recommendation and he looked at us, said nothing, and went back to reading his magazine as if he hadn’t just been asked advice from customers. After we picked out some $10 lures and another $10 rig (before bait) we walked up to the counter. I asked where the live bait was, and the clerk proceeded to rudely yell at me that the sign says “frozen bait” and had I read the sign, I should’ve known this. I proceeded to tell the store clerk that he didn’t need to be so rude to me and he then kicked me out of the store. After I walked 50 feet from the store, the clerk stood outside of the door, referred to my 7 year old son and I as “white trash from Ohio” and told us to go home. Stay classy, clerk….. Hopefully you don’t give the same hospitality to everyone who seeks your great advice on fishing these waters. The lady with short grey hair was extremely rude to me. The store was very hot and smelled so odd. The lady yelled at me for reading nutrition information due to my severe allergies which seems racially motivated seeing as I was the only person of color in the store. (My friends were also reading the nutrition value on products but were not rudely yelled at). As we checked out to the counter she remained on her phone talking on speaker which is unprofessional. She also couldn’t make eye contact with me which was pretty satisfying and says a lot of her character. Refused to buy anything from this overpriced store and did not want to support her behavior. I pulled in here briefly because I was servicing the building across the street. I was trying to figure out where I should park and needed to get out to get a better idea.
