Myself & a friend went into Nordstrom on this past Labor Day. We had a "Girls day" out. We spent about $700 in the store. After we left the perfume department we went to the LaMer section. I had to flag down a lady & she hesitated but came over. I asked about the LaMer "Eye "The Consentrate". She told us somethings about it. I asked for a sample of it & she said we do have a small container but it really doesn't matter because it takes 21 days to get the full effect. My friend & I looked at each other & she then went to get a small jar. She then put a dab of product in that container equivalent to a smear. She then said goodbye & walked out of the department. It was really concerning to me because how do you sell a product if someone can't sample it? She clearly didn't want to give me a sample! I thought that Nordstrom is known for allowing people to have samples that is why you have perfume valves, small containers & so on. I just didn't like her attitude nor did we appreciate what was said about the product. I used to work in high-end retail & would have Never told a customer that. I would have given them a sample ample enough to 21 days as it only takes a dab each day. Then I would have given them my card & asked for a review after the 21 days was up to get them back in person to talk with them & gain a customer. She didn't encourage a return after the use of the product even after she told us she used the product & we gave her several compliments about her skin. She was basically trying to go to break & let suddenly!
Thank You!

Read moreI had a few Anniversary Sale items that I purchased online to return. I parked in the attached garage and went to the second floor, order pickup area, thinking I was able to return there since I have done so before. An African American older woman with black glasses was at the desk. I asked her if I was able to return the items, and she literally rolled her eyes, and with an attitude, said "yes". She pulled up my account, which had my purchases on them. She scanned one of the shoe boxes and rudely said, "This shows it's returned." I calmly told her it was an item purchased from the Anniversary sale, and that someone else probably returned them, so that they then became available for me to purchase online. She rudely again said that the label on the box shows it's been returned. I explained to her again, and even pulled up my account on my phone which has the return barcode for the item. She finally realized I wasn't trying to return a "returned" item, but wasn't apologetic about HER MISTAKE. I shop online at Nordstrom A LOT, for the convenience, and because I live far from the store. I think of Nordstrom as one of the nicer department stores, but after my return experience with this lady, I was super disappointed. An employee that works in a customer service position, especially in a nicer department store, should be delivering EXCEPTIONAL customer service. They should NOT be unwelcoming and rude. I also saw a previous Google review of a customer service issue where they didn't understand Nordstrom's generous return policy. I have dealt with...
Read moreI’ve always enjoyed shopping at Nordstrom, especially for bras, so I was excited to bring my mom in for a fitting. Unfortunately, our experience this weekend was far from what I expected.
On our first visit, there was no one available to help with sizing. Determined to make it work, I called before our second visit to ensure assistance would be available and was told there will be someone available. The staff member informed me that someone was already being helped and that we would need to wait. We waited for 20 minutes while she continued to fold clothes and converse with another customer in the dressing room.
My mom, who is handicapped and uses a walker, needed assistance, but instead of moving customers to accommodate her, the staff member insisted on waiting for the other customer to finish in the ADA approved dress room was not handicapped. Her demeanor was rude, and I couldn’t shake the feeling that my mother’s size influenced the staff's reluctance to help.
Another coworker did assist my mom, but the sizing was incorrect. The one positive aspect was that they suggested we try Barbara's, located nearby. There, we received a warm welcome and respectful treatment.
Due to this experience, I won’t be returning to Nordstrom or recommending it to friends. It’s disheartening when customer service falls short, especially for something as personal...
