Grocery Outlet — Attraction in Irvine

Hi guys-the amazing owners of this store which I know is not the manager Jesus as he proclaims to be. I have been shopping at your store for years. Today I had a horrible experience with the manager Jesus. I shopped for 30 min or so and when I got to register the dog food was double the price that it was under. I showed them the price it was under and I got a little upset that I wasted 30 min shopping but then items ring different price at the register. The manager came and was defensive and talking to me disrespectful from the beginning as if I did something wrong and it’s my fault items are under the wrong price or that I don’t have the right to be a little frustrated or upset . The price was double so it should be understandable for me to be a little frustrated . He had an attitude with me from the beginning and when I got more upset because of his attitude towards me he said “you know what I’m the owner of the store and you need to shop somewhere else” and kicked me out of the store in front of a bunch of people. I am 45 years old ive never experienced such disrespect. I was shopping for my dog who is dying of cancer so I was already not having the best day. During Christmas I bought ham which ended up having mold on it and I came back to the store and the same manager once again gave me an attitude as if I did something wrong.

But to lie that he’s the owner and kick me out without my groceries? And to not take accountability for the frustration the wrong prices could have and understand that the whole idea of grocery outlet is bargain shopping so when u spend 30 min shopping then something is double the price at register yes a customer will probably be a little frustrated.

I’m in shock at how I was treated

I know what the owners of this store look like and they seem so wonderful. I have seen them in the store smiling and giving amazing customer service just like all the other wonderful employees in the store. Why are you guys letting a jerk like Jesus power trip at your beautiful business and treat people like this while doing a horrible job as a manager that he can’t even price items correctly. One of my fellow colleagues recommended this food outlet for their spontaneously good deals and prices on their merchandise. This place is medium to small size not too huge however oh boy they have plenty of merchandise to go around! However when it comes to drinks chips stuff like that I kind of wish they had more of a variety most of the merchandise are rinsing repeat but you can't really complain when you're buying a energy drink for about $2.99 where others will literally charge you now in these days $3 to $4 for one can. Their merchandise they have wine alcohol beer drinks ice cream protein related powders plates napkins cups hair care products brushes the list goes on I would highly recommend giving them a lookout and see if this is suited for you in terms of if they have the merchandise you usually get. They have frozen food ready to toss into a microwave in case if you work nearby they got all that and the prices are spontaneously great! Looking forward for my next visit and the cash register employees this was my first visit. There was a young female long black wavy hair did not get her name very nice when she spoke her words were bold You can understand it overall great service. My only negative I wouldn't call a negative but more or less slight improvements or the business I would say if they could bring more variety of specific products such as for their energy drinks their chips protein powders I feel like they're buying some certain brands in bulk and not really having different varieties of flavors of that brand but overall just a small issue doesn't really impact me in terms of doing...

I called looking for a specific item and was told they had it. I asked specific questions just to make sure I wouldn't waste a 50-minute drive, and was reassured they had the item in stock. The representative hung up on me when I asked another question, so I drove there.

I got there and couldn't find the item. I asked a gentlemen to help me find it. He couldn't find it and asked another gentlemen to help. They went above and beyond to help me, and both were very apologetic when I told them that I was told it was there before I drove there. (Hence 2 stars because they were so nice.)

I wasn't going to leave a review because of the two gentlemen, but then I heard the woman that answered the phone and hung up on me say to someone, "Yeah, I didn't have time to look for it, so I hung up on her." If you didn't have time to look for it, tell me that, and not lie and tell me that you're sure that you have it!

For this woman not to have time to look for the item that she told me was there, I couldn't tell because when I walked past her 2 or 3 times, she was standing at the end of an aisle just talking to someone. I know it was her that I originally spoke to over the phone because her voice carries throughout the entire store, and I recognized her voice.

Needless to say, I didn't get the items that I drove almost...
