This café instantly won me over with its warm atmosphere and perfect menu with crepes!
The iced coffee was excellent - smooth, aromatic, and clearly made with care.
From the savory crepes, I recommend the Jambon et Fromage with ham and a fried egg. It’s very flavorful, and when paired with the side salad, it was satisfying enough to fill me up, though I still happily saved room for dessert.
For something sweet, I highly recommend the Napoleon crepe. Honestly, it really does taste like a cake, incredibly delicious and tender. It has fresh strawberries, a light drizzle of chocolate, and a silky custard that makes each bite melt in your mouth.
We also had hot tea, which was wonderfully aromatic. They offer some interesting and unique tea flavors. I also love that they have a little station where you can pour in cream, choose your own tea flavor, or even take a small cup to transfer your tea from a mug if you prefer.
The menu is impressively large, and breakfast is served until 3 pm. They also have a tempting display of ready-made desserts like croissants, macarons, cakes, danishes, and more.
Here’s a taste of what they offer:

Read moreI’ve been coming to this location for for French pastries for years and I have been coming daily the last few months, the taste is authentic and the price is fair for the setting and location.
I have always received exceptionally great service from the young people that work weekdays, the young man with the baseball hat, the tall blond and the French looking petite, on weekends, this place is busy and understandably service is faster and little more laxed, nevertheless, the service was good.
Today however, my order was taken by a person whom appeared to be possibly the daughter of the owner / manager, for the life of me, I could not get her to take a simple order properly, simply because she was not listening and paid attention to everything in her sphere except the person standing at her register.
It took her four prolonged tries to take an order of 1 crêpe cristo, no almonds and no Nutella drizzle on top, and guess what I received? A dry crêpe with NOTHING, no Nutella inside, not on top, not anywhere on the crêpe, just a tiny ketchup-like tub of Nutella on the side of the plate, aaagh
I pointed that out to the gentleman that brought it (and I’m sorry he was caught in the middle of my frustration) he takes it in and in a few minutes someone else comes out with a crêpe doused-stupid with Nutella inside and out, it almost looked like someone dropped a dukie on a plate.
At this point I went in and they finally got it right, by then the people with me had already finished their breakfast and were ready to leave.
Moral of the story is, from one business owner to another, if you can’t pay attention, don’t go to work that day, you harm the business more than you contribute even if it is your own, and you’ll eventually learn that the hard way.
I can take a screwed up order any day of the week and without leaving any reviews as business service is not perfectly linear, however, I can never accept being disrespected by not paying attention and repeatedly I might add, and the not following through with a proper resolution, an acknowledgment, perhaps an apology is a serious problem, but most definitely the lack of an immediate correction of the issue can be fatal to a business.
If you can’t serve a patron, hit the kitchen sink gal, washing breakables will get your attention, or better yet, stay home and watch Les Misérables, just return when you’re fit to...
Read moreI've been wanting to keep this a secret because I love this place, but it's too good not to share! I first came here thinking they were popular for breakfast, but I personally feel they are best known for their bread, aka all the sandwiches.
PANINI You can add a side salad of organic greens or skinny French fries for $1.50, but I'm usually full on just the half for lunch. The ones I've had so far have been solid options: Pesto Chicken Panini ($10.95) and Italian Panini ($10.95).
SANDWICHES These include a choice of organic greens or fries with your selection! Turkey & Brie ($12) is a classic combo. Avocado, potato chips, mustard, mayonnaise, lightly dressed mixed greens and that ooey-gooey Brie all up in that baguette. Via Havana ($14.50) is served hot. Home roasted pork, cured ham, cornichons, jalapeños, swiss cheese, mustard, garlic mayo, caramelized onion on a baguette.
DESSERTS I always forget to take pictures of their display glass, but we almost never leave without a take out box. Boyfriend is obsessed with their chocolate mousse ($6.50) and I often take a random pick: Fruit tart (~$4.00), Napoleon, Cronut. The custard or whipped cream parts were lightly sweetened and more cream flavored rather than milky when compared to Korean pastries. I know, I know..French pastries are different. I still have the carrot cake pinned as a top priority to try, but there are literally so many options. So easily distracted!
I would say we come here at least once a month, sometimes bi-weekly if/when that chocolate craving hits. Food is consistently good and level of rush times comes in waves, but service has always...
