Come with me and mama to check out a new skating rink. Issaquah Rock N Roll. Concrete flooring and still in their trial and error phase. #pnw #rollerskating

I’ve visited this venue several times as they host one of the Glass Pumpkin Patches and gem shows each year. There is a path through a somewhat wild garden all the way around the barn outside with places to sit. One downside could be the limited parking immediately outside the venue but overflow could go across the street. Overall a great place to host an event.

Partly shaded wide asphalt trail with tall grass and creek alongside. It goes behind office buildings and ends at roundabout. Nice and well used walkways that lead to the barn and the produce farmers market. Handicap parking and a parking lot , but no trash cans???? . No restrooms maybe in marketplace.

As far as the barn goes, it's stunning. Everyone talks about its beauty and the facility. All are gorgeous and clean.

I just got married here in February. The staff that clean and communicate with you when touring and on the day of the wedding are all sweet and nice and so helpful !! As far as the awful even coordinator Jera Gilmore, she is a down right witch at times. You get no phone calls from her unless you go above her to the city and call complaining about her lack of phone calls. I had to do that after sending 7 emails with no response and 5 voicemails in 5 days. I will mention they were work days during morning hours so it's not like I was calling late in the day. Finally my friend called the city and I instantly get a call back. She didn't apologize for the 5 day delay on getting back to me, she instead chewed me out about calling the city cause it makes her look bad! Well, she isn't doing her job. I was trying to rent the facility and it books fast so if anything you think she would be on top of making the venue money and booking the dates as quickly as she can. That was the ONLY verbal communication I ever got. In emails she is very rude and short and comes off horrible. She made me so scared to deal with her that I had to have my husband and mother in law email her.

Now we signed a contract stating 2 weeks for our return on the deposit to our card. Well two weeks has come, and nothing. I emailed Jera, got a response from her Assistant, who I should mention is sweet in emails, but never calls you back. They stated it was on the card but it isn't and it's not being held by my bank either. So now I know we will be dealing with them for awhile trying to get our deposit back.

Decorating rules come off crazy but honestly we did so much and it was easy. And you just use zip ties. They are a life saver. I love how are wedding came out, people had an amazing time. Just know that you won't get the sweetest responses and no communication from...

Signed a contract before all the mandates and what not due to covid and on 10/19/2021 we get an email saying we now need to check everyone's vaccine status... Okay cool. Then on 1/12/2022 Jera decided that they can no longer set up or tear down tables per the contract so they are willing to dock $500 off the rental fee. Well that wasn't going to work for us since it is a small wedding and no one to help us set up and tear down, so I asked for a full refund due to a contract change on their end. Jera refused and said "Fine we will do set up and tear down for you but we will keep the rental fee what was previously agreed upon" So that was fine, but I was tired of the all the changes and so we decided to cancel. Had to follow up with the event supervisor (Jera) multiple times and finally she started to process the refund, Well that was done wrong so it credited my "city of Issaquah" account. So I email/call and say "hey it is sitting as a credit in perfect mind, can you just cut me a check or do you know how to get it on my card" about an hour later I get a notification that they charged my card for $500. I call and call and email and the only way Jera will respond to me is by email. Jera would not answer my calls, would not call me back. Later told me she doesnt know how to do refunds when she has worked for the city for 18 years now. Finally they (Her co-worker Milissa) figured out how to get me my refund, by check, that has to get signed by city counsel. Cool, that was on the 7th, I was told checks would go out on the 8th. It is now 9 days later and I am finally seeing the check but when I reached out to Jera 4 times now about still not seeing it, not one response. The lack of response from Jera is disheartening and I would not recommend anyone to...

Pickering Barn was just the perfect venue for our spring wedding. The staff was lovely and very accommodating throughout the entire planning process leading up to the big day. All of our dinner tables, chairs, ceremony chairs, cocktail tables, and easels for signs were included. Our first look, family photos and signing of the marriage license took place outdoors on the pickering property, while we utilized both indoor barns for our ceremony and reception. There is not much kitchen space, so we went with a food truck and there was a perfect spot for them to set up just outside the main doors so our guests did not have to go far outside if it was raining (it did not though!). So many of our friends and family came up to us to tell us how cool they thought the space was. The indoor and outdoor areas are all perfect for professional photos too. We loved Pickering Barn for our venue and would recommend to anyone looking for a special place for their wedding or really any...
