II'm very sadden by the service i had received today. I've gone to Jenny Pho COUNTLESS times in the past 7 years and today was probably the worst of it. I love pho! I grew up eating pho made by my Lao, Thai, Cambodian, and Vietnamese friends and family. I even make it myself on occasion!
I've spoken with the owners in the past about how they would make their broth days in advance so you get that authentic flavor. That's the BEST. That's how my friends and family would make it. I loved the the pho here but i think after today, I will not be returning to this establishment.
Today, I arrived, super excited to eat pho. I've been sick for the past two weeks and usually this is the only thing I can stomach without feeling bad. I didnt mind paying the 10 bucks for a small bowl of pho. Most places are generally cheaper than this but i did not mind.
The bean sprouts were not of quality. They looked bad and smelled bad. They were slimey, discolored, and they had the faint smell of going bad. I wouldn't even serve this to my customers if this was my establishment, especially because theyre raw bean sprouts!
It took me 20 minutes to receive a menu...I watched multiple tables get serviced before me. It was lunch time and most of the tables were finishing up so they weren't that busy. I had to ask a server. And I understand that things happen but I had watched 3-8 people walk in after me, get a menu, then get their food.
The broth was always my favorite. All pho places that I have been too, the broth is steamy, its hot, it smells soooooo good when you get it. Today it was luke warm. I always ordered the P1 (Jenny Pho special) that has meat and tripe. My favorite. However, because the broth was luke warm, the meat that they had put in it was still raw (like red raw). It didnt even cook. The point of a hot broth is to have the meat cook in the broth. A little pink is okay, but i'm not trying to take a bite out of fresh cow! I understand that not everything will be fully cooked, but you should not be serving your broth at room temp!!
I'm severely disappointed. This is probably the worse pho experience I have ever had in my 27 years of being alive.
Jenny Pho, you can phoget about me as your customer. Worse...
Read moreTerrible service, the pho itself is bland. As a business owner in Issaquah for over 7 years I’m shocked at the treatment of this establishment. I’ve frequented the restaurant for the occasional lunch and delivery’s. At this point the service is the reason I’ll never go back. They had 3 scenarios with me that they epically dropped the ball. Double charge - I was double charged for an in dining experience and they refused to help. A separate scenario they brought out the wrong pho, when I mentioned it was wrong because I have a allergies to cilantro, they went in the back and picked it off, then brought out the same bowl of pho. The problem was I had an allergic reaction with the remaining broth that was left in. Of course they denied this and refused to help or bring me a new bowl. I ordered on Doordash at 7:00 pm, the driver showed up at 8:07 for the pick up and I was informed that the order never went through around 8:24. Mind you have a pregnant wife and at the point I was informed pretty much everything else was closed. Now I understand that there could be a communication issue between door dash and Jennypho, my issue is that he refused to help in anyway again. I don’t know the name of this server but I recognize his voice. He started yelling at me over the phone and hung up. Refusing to help, even though I offered to pick up and pay again …
If your into mediocre pho and bad service this is place for you. Refusing to help your long standing patrons is not a good way to run your small business.
I would suggest Issaquah Pho...
Read moreIncredible pho. Sadly, I forgot to take pictures before we dug in, but it was delicious, fast, and very comfortable. We were welcomed in immediately, picked our own seating, and given space while we looked at the menus. The ceilings are tall, circulation was wonderful, no overwhelming smells of food, just hints here and there when we were near other people's tables. The tables, utensils, cups, plates, and bowls were all clean. The noodles were brought out quickly, possibly too quickly, the noodles hadn't split apart on their own yet, but it wasn't an issue. We ordered Jenny's pho special, which came with all the beef meats, fried tofu pho, and a kids vegetable pho. The vegetables in the kids pho were fresh and crunchy, fried tofu was good, crispy on the outside, and all the meats were good. Next time I might try the regular pho, meatballs were a little rubbery for my taste, but flavor was delicious, I'm guessing the super soft tender meat was brisket. That was okay, I prefer less tender meats in my soups, so that's probably just preference. There were two other meats that were very similar but probably different cuts, they both were just right for me. I also ordered the coconut juice with the pulp...amazing!!! I usually get the canned coconut juice with pulp, but this was on another level. The pulp was tender and moist, and there was a ton of it in the cup. I'll take a picture next time we go. This has been added as a main go to for...
