I stopped by Threadneddle Street for the first time today to pick up supplies for a new cross stitch project. The store is cozy, beautiful, and well-stocked. The owner was kind, very knowledgeable and answered all my questions. Can’t wait to come back :)

It's been years since I've visited Threadneedle shop...a time when I could still drive and had more mobility and independence. I remember that usually I was hunting for that new project and was filled with the excitement and anticipation that only a fellow needleworker could appreciate, and usually not knowing what I'd walk out of the store with. I just happened to think of this shop as I was browsing the Internet, and I've been studying the photos of the shop. Even now I could pack a bag and just move inch by inch through the shop and spend a whole week there. There's no such thing as time when you are doing something that's your passion. Now, I'm finishing all the projects I bought back then and that have been stored in my closet! Going back is something that's on my bucket list. I remember that on each visit I would see the quiet, pleasant owner working on a very large, intricate tapestry (I believe). I wonder if she ever finished it...A wonderful shop. If you haven't been there, give...

I finally got the chance to visit Threadneedle Street! I’ve ordered from Denise many times, particularly Medici wool, which she still sells but this is the first time in a number of visits to the Seattle area that I finally got the chance to see the shop in person. It’s a small store filled with so many hard to find threads and other stitching supplies for cross stitch and needlepoint. It’s a gem! I bought a couple canvases and some threads I’ve been looking for. Chatting with Denise about the needlepoint industry was so much fun. Parking is easy in the lot at the end of...

Threadneedle Street is a true gem of a local shop, and if you have any interest in needlepoint or cross-stitch, you won’t regret paying it a special visit! Denise is incredibly knowledgeable and helpful, a genuine expert in her field, and she’s always conscientious of cost—you won’t have to worry that she’s trying to upsell you. If I had the choice between buying from a corporate crafts store or buying from Threadneedle Street, I would pick Threadneedle...
