My husband and I found this little hidden gem while we were heading home from spending the afternoon at the lake. The restaurant is located in a downtown area with cute quaint shops and eateries. There is a decent amount of parking in the lot right next to the building. We came here on a Tuesday evening which apparently is one of their slowest days of the week. The owner is a very kind Japanese man who also made our sushi. We ordered the Seattle roll, five color fish roll, a few types of nigiri sushi and the hamachi sashimi combo. However, prior to our meal, the chef/owner gave us each a small garden salad as an appetizer. Everything tasted very fresh and delicious. As if that wasn't enough, upon clearing our table after our meal, the chef/owner gave us a few complimentary slices of watermelon to help cleanse the pallet. The ambiance was very clean and cozy with a good amount of seating to accommodate many customers. The prices are very reasonable. Overall, we truly enjoyed our experience and look forward to coming when whenever we are...

Japan Ginger has been a favorite of ours for years, consistently delivering fresh and delicious meals. We've found ourselves ordering from them at least once a month, thanks to their standout offerings.

Their teriyaki chicken is a real highlight, offering a perfect balance of flavors that keeps us coming back. The side salads are equally impressive, enhanced by a particularly tasty dressing that complements every bite.

The sushi, however, is what truly sets Japan Ginger apart. The chef's expertise is evident in each roll, which is crafted to perfection, allowing for an ideal single bite experience. It's this attention to detail and quality that has solidified Japan Ginger as a must-visit for us.

For anyone in search of consistently good food with a focus on freshness and flavor, Japan Ginger is highly recommended. Their menu items, especially the sushi, are a testament to the skill and passion behind their...

I used to come here a few years back and they were great but one day I had came in and I had received the wrong food and I had taken it back and asked kindly for them to give me the correct order, the owner started screaming at me horribly and I had explained to him his own menu so that he could understand what I wanted and how I ordered correctly. He then proceeded to make the food and you could tell he made it tasteless and awful on purpose and was whispering with the cook while making my friends meal that unsurprisingly made my friend VERY sick. STAY away especially if you have children, who knows what this man...

I love it! I love Issaquah! I love Japan Ginger! So excited to have found a good sushi place where i can scoot or walk to. they have some fresh fish, i got the tuna donburi and my wifey wasn't feeling sushi, so she ordered chicken teriyaki. both were really good! so if you have kids that don't like sushi, they'll definitely find something that they like here. Quick service and staff are very nice. Japan ginger has been in Issaquah since 2004! so that tells you that they are doing something right! i'll probably frequent this joint to have some sake and tuna after work.

Loved the vibes of the guy at the counter, he was incredibly friendly and eager to please with his craft! The same person who took my order also made my sushi, and served my order out... Which felt pretty special! I can tell he takes pride in what he does. *: I visited again, and was granted a hot cup of miso on a cold day!! What a gentleman.
