Horrible experience with framing. Had several items framed for a professional office and just an awful job done by people with absolutely no artistic ability or decision making capability. Had a standard certificate framed and finished product was this gigantic monstrosity that you would have to be sitting in the oval office for this certificate to feel in place. Dimensions looked so awkward and not proportional to the size of the small unassuming 8 1/2 x 11 certificate. Also had one of kind signed artwork framed. This turned out exactly as I asked. lots of great color pads and blocking and fantastic expensive frame. However, they also decided to go ahead and take the cheap black and white photo that literally was free to print out on an office printer, that i gave to them creased and rolled up in a rubber band, that I asked to just get a\ small unassuming frame for...and do the exact same thing with it. GIANTTTT fancy frame with tons of blocking. You think this ridiculous photo of me and my buddies was a vintage signed one of kind photo of president reagan with his high school senior class. Wasted my money and gave a me a product that's so huge it'll be 50 years before I ever own a house large enough to have a hallway I can hang it in to make it look unassuming. for now it can be the focal point of my extra bed room that it barely fits through the door of. I literally brought the picture in to the store rolled up in a rubber band, in a paper publix bag....and I guess the lady looked at it and thought to herself. yeah, that looks like something he wants to hang on his wall over his brick fireplace and bear skin rug. you shoulda seen them trying to play it off. Well sir, you brought this photo in, so it must be important to you. Yeah, man, but I didn't want something that's so big and elaborate it would actually distract from the jackson pollack on the wall next to it...if I actually had one of those. Well thanks for the 1 good framing job out of 4. For that you get 1 star. Seriously people. DONT FRAME HERE. Don't even buy frames here. go to A.C. moore. do it yourself, or just find a real professional, because its just some college drop out back there, eating cheetos on her break every 5 minutes that's gonna end up framing your...
Read moreAfter popping into Target, I came into this store to purchase some candle wicks. I didn’t spend as much time as I normally do, looking at everything and once I found the item I wanted in the back, made my way to check-out. There was one employee in the check-out area who kept staring at me but didn’t say anything so I asked if their self-checkout was running since she didn’t indicate that she would be checking me out or anything. Nothing. I go pass her to use self-checkout. She stood by me as I purchased my ONE item and stared me down. I ignored it and left because I really wanted to complete my candle project. Maybe I was overly sensitive after my experience at Target but if you are gonna stare me down while I check-out, why not just check me out? Since I had items in my cart from Target and I’m darker than a saltine cracker, I made sure to keep my ONE purchase in my hand so I wouldn’t receive this kind of treatment. I couldn’t shake the feeling of my experience and returned a few moments later to return the item to the employee who could have checked me out. She was all smiles checking out another person when it was my turn at the counter. This confirmed that her demeanor had only been towards me and I had been right to feel the ick. Her eyes indicated she remembered me.
There is a way to do things discreetly but if you were really worried about me stealing, maybe check me out next time or don’t have self-checkout. How creative can someone get with candle wicks at $3.99, really? I wanted to support the craft store versus buying my craft project items from Walmart or online but after my experience, I’m not stepping foot in this building.
In all my years walking through the aisles of Michael’s, I have never experienced anything like this. My goal with this posting is to help others not experience what I did (leaving in tears) and spend their money where it is actually wanted and...
Read moreMy mother-in-law came in here yesterday to buy some of the end of season mystery boxes and ended up coming home with 3 boxes of fake plants. 82 plants in total. I called today to see if with this mystery box thing if it's common for boxes to be exactly the same. The manager said it's not supposed to but there's no rules for them to follow on it. I asked what she could do to fix the situation and I even offered to pay for more boxes so that my mom could get the experience she was wanting as this apparently is a big thing on social media and she was super excited about getting into it. The manager wasn't willing to do anything. I even asked her if she could put some boxes together that I'd pay for and my mom can come by and pick it up. No. She said they still have a few and if she wants to come by and try and "peek inside as much as she can without opening them" she can come in and do that. No thanks, I don't think she wants another 30 fake plants.
My MIL is a frequent shopper at this store. This is clearance item stuff for $10 a box. You've got lazy employees at this store. There was no issue with the money, only the experience. It should have been no problem to go over to the clearance rack, make a few new boxes that will be sold, and keep a happy customer. I'm a business owner and thought this was absolutely ridiculous. This is a no brainer. You lost a customer that spends probably close to a grand a year over $30.
So, to the manager who was no help, now you get a negative review, you've lost a spending customer, and I'll make sure to tell everyone I can about this negative experience at this specific location.
Luckily, corporate was willing to give a credit so she can try again at a different store. Hopefully she has a better experience there and I'm thankful that the company was willing to do something to try and create a better...
