Don't EVER reserve a room here. When we came for a 2 day trip I should have known it was an issue when the front desk attendant walked us to our room. I asked why she was escorting us to the room and it was relayed to me that the hotel keys were not working. We were on the 3rd floor and I couldn't get past the smell on the 3rd floor. It smelled like raw sewage mixed with moldy floors and urine. They put us at the end of the hallway where someone put dirty sheets on the hallway floor right in front of the vending and ice machines. I took a look at the room and I immediately went on my phone trying to locate another hotel. There was mold on the ceilings, in the shower, and the vents weren't dusted probably ever. Again the smell alone is something that would cause you to pass out. They have homeless people or people who live in a shelter contracted to live in this hotel. There was a woman who was on the phone calling someone telling them to come asap because someone was getting ready to get into a fight there. She was so loud I heard it through the room. The health department needs to be called on this place. The econo lodge is probably better than this place. I wouldn't even classify this place as a hotel. It took me 2 hours to locate another hotel because I needed to check in immediately since we arrived at 10pm. I repeat NEVER stay or book a reservation here. This place is a health hazard and you will not be safe. I ended up at the Tru Hilton 12 minutes away and if I ever come back to Jacksonville I'll stay at the Tru Hilton now going forward. See attached pictures I took for reference.

Hotel in under renovations. Room smelled of smoke. Most of the rooms on the first floor looked as though they had water damage to them. I noticed fan cords hanging out of the doors. Noticed people coming and going out a back door that was propped open with a stick. Hallways were very dinghy. I was awoken at 11:30pm and asked if the AC was working and if the shower was draining. I answered the door and told them yes to both to get them to leave. I didn’t use the tub/shower that night so I didn’t know if it would work. In the morning I took a shower and the tub drained. Breakfast was free so I thought I would try it. They had a setup in a future restaurant area inside the hotel. No signs so I just walked around until I found the entrance. I got a plate and went for the hot food. The eggs, bacon and potatoes were in trays that were heated with hot water. There were 4 spots so there was an empty spot. Under the first lid happened to be the empty spot and the water was a murky brown like rust and puke slightly mixed. I put the lid back down and put my empty plate in the trash. I proceeded to leave the hotel with the hopes of never going back (and also hoping no one gets sick from the food!). Forgot to add I had to leave an additional $100 deposit to stay. And I was told that I would receive that back in 7 to 10 days. I have not had to leave an additional deposit (on top of the cost of the room) in years! So basically I paid $225 to stay in a bad hotel with the promos of getting the $100 back. Just disgusted with the place.

My first mistake was thinking it would be a solid stay because it is backed by Wyndham. The staff is not welcoming upon arrival, very dry experience. Hotel lobby looks like they have attempted to remodel and the rooms are under remodel. I reserved a king room when booked and was told they don’t have upon my arrival and was given a two queen on the 4th floor with spotty internet not suitable for continuation of work purposes. Elevator has expired servicing date from 2023 and feels like you will get stuck or that it is a mini tower of terror with free falls. Hall way had the worst stench which followed into the rooms. Ceilings in the room have holes and look as though they have not been taken care of in years. The bedding was a sheet, a decrepit what could have been a duvet, and another sheet on top the duvet to make it appear to have a “clean” appearance. The pillows are flat and stained with clean pillow cases to disguise the unacceptable quality. One of the lamps did not work at the desk and the shower looks as if it has not been used in years and has hard water stains. Breakfast was advertised when booking and all it was is some muffins bits, a gogurt, and tiny water bottle. Also my card was charged separately for the stay prior to my check in and charged again plus a 50 incidental at check in. By far the worst experience I’ve ever had at a hotel and I will not be recommending to anyone visiting Jacksonville for business or for any other reason for the matter.

I wish I could rate this ZERO STARS

I am shocked and appalled at one of the most unpleasant and unprofessional experiences I have witnessed in a long time. My wife and I purchased two rooms for our friend and her family traveling through Jacksonville. Her family comprises six children and her elderly mother - thus the two rooms.

After filling out the credit card authorization form and confirming our booking, we were told that we were all set. Once our friend arrived at the premises, around midnight, and she was told that she could not check in because the booking was under my name (as the rewards member) and they had my wife's ID and credit card (she physically made the booking). When my friend called to alert us, I spoke with Tonya (front desk clerk), who rudely explained that they would not allow them to check in because of the name difference on the booking - My wife bears my last name.

When I courteously explained that my wife made the booking and we are joint members, I was told that the only way the check-in would be allowed is with my ID on file. I kindly said no problem and began to scan and email my ID. Before the check-in was complete, while we were still on the phone, a man (who has now been identified as one of the owners) came over, took a photo of our IDs and credit card information in his personal phone, whispered something in Tonya's ear, to which she partially canceled the reservation, tore up the credit card authorization form, and handed it to the mother of 6 children. The alleged owner then rudely said we are canceling the reservation and asking you to leave the property -in the 'you're trespassing' tone of voice. As we were on the phone, I heard my friend ask if they could shred our personal details, to which the man replied that she had two minutes to leave or he was "calling the police."

Please keep in mind there was no argument, no scene, and no fracas. I attempted to have a dialogue with the man to understand why the reservation was cancelled and more importantly securing my personal details, to which he replied, "we can deny service to anybody we want, welcome to Florida!" and hung up in my face. Of course, I called him back and calmly let him know, I'm not disputing the cancellation, that was his prerogative and right, but I was concerned about the use of my personal details which were in his personal device. He hung up on me again. I called back and asked if I could speak to his supervisor, to which he said there was nobody above me!!! He hung up again. We are not in or from Jacksonville.

In handling this the correct way, I filed two formal complaints right away through Wyndham, and the process is running its course. I will not relent until we see accountability.

This man put a woman with six children and an elder out of his hotel after a long trip and at midnight with threats of police intervention. We don't mind spending our money elsewhere, but there is a principle of treating people like human beings, money and perceived success does not absolve you from recognition of that principle.

Welcome to Florida - My wife and I are combat veterans, and we fought for Florida and the 49 other states. The good thing about Florida is that we put "Veteran" on our driver's licenses to let others know that we served the best interest of our nation. TO ALL MY BROTHERS AND SISTERS in ARMS: This is how this hotel treats veterans. Please take your business elsewhere. There are other hotels in the area.

There is nobody above me. As a CEO, one salient element in business is that there is always someone else above "you." Your board, shareholders, investors, etc. In this case, your customers are and should be above you. I understand that sometimes you perceive success and lose sight of what defines your success from a business standpoint.

Customers, take your business elsewhere. If you were able to read this far, I hope that you hold this "owner" accountable to simple business principles. Earn your wages, and treat people with respect....

Treats Veterans Poorly Unprofessional Owner Racist Owner

If I could leave ZERO stars I would...

From the owners mistreatment of veterans and his improper handling of their sensitive personal information, to the threats of calling the police on a single mother of six children and an elder, the owners exhibition of such deplorable behavior, sets a disgraceful standard for the employees of the establishment and fails the mission and values of Wyndham.

Mission & Values We make hotel travel possible for all. Wherever people go, Wyndham will be there to welcome them. This mission, along with our values, guides the way we do business every day.

The recent experience of a mother, elder, and six children is a clear example of the owner's failure of the mission, in that a stay was not made possible for these individuals in need as they traveled to this location. These guests having already had a reservation and arriving around midnight, were not welcomed as a result of the owners actions not being guided by the mission of Wyndham.

OUR CULTURE Our signature Count on Me service culture encourages each team member to be responsive, be respectful and deliver great experiences to our guests, partners and communities.

The owner of this Ramada By Wyndham location displayed the antithesis of Wyndham's culture as he disrespectfully responded to the needs of paying customers and guests. Additionally, the owner's inappropriate handling and storage of customer's sensitive personal information, who are veterans, on his personal device also contributed to the lack of a great experience.

OUR CORE VALUES Integrity We hold ourselves to the highest standards. We’re responsible, truthful and transparent. We do the right thing.

The high standards of Wyndahm were NOT displayed in this establishment as the front desk associate and owner's actions did not provide a responsible handling of the veterans' information. When asked for transparency on the reason and status of the reservation, truthful and transparent responses were not provided via the means of intentional and disrespectful disconnections of the phone. The right thing was NOT done.

Accountability We honor our commitments and deliver results. Under any circumstance, we stand up and say: “Count on Me.”

Under no such circumstance was the phrase "Count on Me" recounted as having been used in this interaction, but a threat of calling the police and a mishandling of personal information. However, what the owner did stand up and say was "we can deny service to anybody we want, welcome to Florida!" After which, he disconnected the phone on a veteran who was politely seeking the proper handling of his private information. I hope all, including Wyndham will hold this owner accountable to their actions.

Inclusive We respect differences in people, cultures, ideas and experiences. We foster partnership. We welcome all.

The differences of these people were clearly not respected. These people were not welcomed nor was partnership fostered.

Caring We never underestimate the power of compassion. We generously give our time, attention and action.

No compassion was shone to a mother, her six children and an elder after a long trip, having arrived at around midnight. The only time, attention, and action that was taken here was to deny guests, who were in need,  service.

Fun Fun is an energizing force. When we have fun doing what we love, our guests love their experiences with us.

By no means was this recent interaction fun and the only force perceivable was that of the thought of police arriving. The experience was not loved.

Potential customers...Please take your...

A Memorable Experience at Dior Restaurant & Lounge: An Almost Perfect 4.5 out of 5

Dior Restaurant & Lounge is a hidden gem that delivers an extraordinary dining experience, blending excellent food, flavorful hookah, and impeccable service. During my first visit, I was treated to an evening filled with delightful surprises and attentiveness at every turn. This review captures the highlights that earned Dior a remarkable rating of 4.5 out of 5.

Upon entering the establishment, I was immediately greeted by a warm and friendly hostess who promptly found me a comfortable seat. The efficiency in seating was impressive, and I truly appreciated the attention to detail, right from the start. The atmosphere was refined and inviting, setting the stage for an unforgettable evening.

The culinary journey at Dior was nothing short of exceptional. The menu boasted an array of tantalizing dishes, expertly prepared and bursting with flavors. Every bite was a testament to the chef's artistry and passion for culinary perfection. From succulent steaks to exquisite seafood, the quality of the food was truly commendable, and it left me craving more.

To complement the delectable cuisine, Dior offered an impressive selection of beverages. The drinks menu was thoughtfully curated, featuring a variety of signature cocktails and a comprehensive wine list. Each sip was an adventure in itself, with each drink masterfully crafted to please the palate. Whether you preferred a classic or a bespoke creation, the bartenders at Dior certainly knew how to satisfy your cravings.

Adding to the allure of the evening was the inviting ambiance created by the music selection. The atmosphere was a perfect blend of chill vibes and a touch of hip hop, striking a balance that enhanced the overall dining experience. The tunes served as a delightful backdrop, adding to the charm and fostering an atmosphere of relaxation and enjoyment.

What truly elevated my experience at Dior was the exceptional service provided by the staff. Tony, the attentive floor manager, took the time to personally ensure that I was well taken care of throughout the evening. Her professionalism and commitment to customer satisfaction were evident, and her presence made a significant difference. Additionally, the hostess was gracious and efficient, ensuring that my table was clean and promptly delivering my drinks. The staff's dedication to making my visit memorable was truly commendable.

Although my overall experience at Dior Restaurant & Lounge was nearly flawless, there is always room for growth. With slight improvements in certain areas, Dior has the potential to become a true pinnacle of excellence.

In conclusion, Dior Restaurant & Lounge delivers an extraordinary dining experience, combining delectable cuisine, flavorful hookah, and an ambiance that pleases all the senses. The attentive and friendly staff, led by Tony, goes above and beyond to ensure that guests feel valued and pampered. From the moment you enter until the moment you leave, you are treated to an unforgettable journey of culinary delight and relaxation. With its exceptional offerings and dedication to customer satisfaction, Dior has undoubtedly earned its stellar rating of...
