Allen Park — Attraction in Jamestown

This is a great city park, that is very well cared for by the city parks department. it spans many acres and there are a variety of trees and plants throughout as well as a small Creek that runs throughout the park with many bird species and occasionally deer can be found roaming around. several sports fields that are utilized for youth soccer football and baseball, the former ice rink has been repurposed to house the Frewsburg soccer club for year round use . There is also a very well appointed playground and pavilion that provides shade on hot days and also serves a as a summer program for kids . on the lower end is a bandshell for summer concerts. Free band concerts on Wednesdays during the summer. Listened to the Pearl City Jazz Band. Municipal Band fills in the rest of the summer. July 26, 2019 one of Shakespeare's plays will be preformed. Nice area to have a picnic. I especially enjoyed the indoor, covered kitchen area. Great if it rained or was too hot, this would be provide respite from it. There were many places for kids to play.
