Arctic Bites Jamestown — Restaurant in Jamestown

What was originally a 5-star experience has slipped to a multiple visit experience of 3 stars. My last experience/order was for seafood ramen, described as having shrimp, kani, squid, scallops, fish cake, bamboo shoots, nori, egg and veggies. Of course there was NO squid, scallops fishcake or bamboo shoots! There were 4 small shrimp and a couple of strands of kani. I asked the counter person if I could heat the broth in the microwave, in its serving bowl. She loudly said, "no" and then "maybe 2 minutes." Yes, I was confused - lol. My previous order was for lunch, General Tso's Chicken. The online order form - the only way you can pre-order - did not describe or allow selection of rice - i.e. white or brown or fried. I took my chances and when I picked up, I asked what kind of rice did it came with. The reply was, "do you want white or brown?" They did manage to change the white to brown :) Unfortunately, the food was not great - super sweet with very little heat and two small pieces of broccoli. SO... what was once a recommended place (by me)...

We already have a favorite sushi place in the Chautauqua area but we figured we'd try Arctic Bites just to see. It far surpassed my expectations and absolutely gives our favorite spot a run for their money. The prices are good and the portion sizes are larger than I expected. I love that they have a larger variety than your typical sushi place. I didn't get the sushi burrito but it sounds super interesting. I might get that next time. The ramen is spot on and the poke bowl was extremely delicious, very flavorful! The thai ice cream is a unique and fun item on the menu. We got the strawberry matcha and it was fantastic!

The staff were friendly and very quick to put our order together. The only place that I might say needs improvement is the atmosphere/decor. It's a bit underwhelming but as a new location, I'd much rather they spend their money on high quality ingredients and keeping their prices low, not passing renovation costs onto the customer.

we placed an order before we left home & found that our car battery had died so we had to wait an hour & a half before we were able to leave. got there & got the food about 2 hours after ordering. when we got the food i noticed that the raw salmon in my poke bowl tasted a bit funny and had become a bit discolored, we called and voiced our concerns about the salmon (no fault of their own, completely a mishap on our end with timing) and they offered to remake the poke bowl and were super nice on the phone and in person when picking up the remake. outstanding customer service and amazing food, thank you so so so so much to the employees at...
